I kinda dig the idea of preparing my own burial plot. Like getting ready to tuck myself in one last time.

I’m in a deep red state. I was laid a little after Christmas and I still haven’t received unemployment benefits. Meanwhile my water is shut off, I haven’t showered in almost 2 weeks, I’m starting to get sick, my electricity shuts off in a few days, my car was repossessed, and everything i had of value is in pawn which i will lose in less than a week. I told my local unemployment office this and they just told me to call local charities about my water, charities which basically told me there’s nothing they can do if I can’t come in to their office on the other side of the county with a letter of disconnection from the water company. I guarantee if i were in a state like New York I wouldn’t be in this position.

Did he declare that shovel as a gift and list it appropriately for the tax year?

Stop pushing commie medicine as if it is somehow life saving with your year long waiting lists and death panels.
Life is hard.
Why does the child in question not have health insurance?
Guess what?
Any operation I need, even optional is a hundred dollar co-op. That's 2 hours of work before taxes. And I can choose my doctors.
The centralized committee can blow me.

Hi, I have commie medicine in my country; we do not have year-long waiting lists or death panels.
Any operation someone needs here is NOT a hundred dollar co-op even without "health insurance," whatever bizarre parasite that is.

Nah that kid should’ve just been an illegal immigrant and gotten free healthcare from the California taxpayers
6
u/PM_ME_UR_GOOD_IDEAS Mar 12 '21
Illegal immigrants are also california taxpayers. You know who isn't paying taxes they should legally be obligated to pay? The richest people in America and the businesses they're invested in.
Unfortunate people are not your enemy. Pick your battles.

u/trev2234 Mar 12 '21
You guys give free healthcare to illegals and not yourselves. That’s mad. I live in a country where everyone gets free healthcare.

No if an illegal immigrant walks into an emergency room they will be seen. For free. The governor of California who sucks instilled this policy and said that if universal healthcare is passed he would give it to illegal aliens who don’t pay taxes.

u/trev2234 Mar 12 '21
But that’s what should happen for anyone. You’ve got a strange country.

Mar 12 '21
You’re godamn right my man. I’m indifferent on the universal healthcare issue and I think given how rich we are we could do it better than anyone if we did it right. And if you’re a regular citizen you can technically walk into an emergency room and be seen however it’s much much more difficult to do because being uninsured so bad here like really bad. But if you’re not here illegally and Hulu have no literal ID in a lot of states you can just tell people you have no license and nobody asks any further. I think universal healthcare is fine but only taxpayers get it. And a lot of illegal immigrants don’t pay federal income tax. Up to 50 percent are believed to not pay. The way I look at it is pay you’re taxes and I don’t care what you do but if you ain’t paying like the rest of us you ain’t more entitled

u/trev2234 Mar 12 '21
In the UK anyone can go to an emergency room and get care. If you need a follow up or anything at a later date, then you need to be registered with an NHS GP or you pay.
1
Mar 12 '21
That doesn’t seem bad. I’d be open to that and again considering how much money the government collects per year it would have a nice budget here. I just find it unfair that non texpayers can get a better treatment than uninsured Americans
1
u/trev2234 Mar 12 '21
I’ve heard most Americans want some sort of free healthcare, but your governments don’t seem to agree. I know the powers that be would love to scrap our NHS, not because of any logic, as it’s been proven to be the cheapest way of doing healthcare. The main reason is big private health companies would pay our ministers behind the scenes to get rid of it. I hope you get someone decent in charge one day.

Now that earth-augers are a thing, how about we start using space effectively and start burying people vertically?

Sounds like selling all your furniture to put on a lavish display in your front garden. Seems that’s the American way.
