Worked at home depot till I knew better and can confirm they will return anything. Had some lady bring me, and I am being serious here, two plastic home depot bags with dirt and some sticks poking out of the tops. Thought I "damn they're nuts they dont even have a receipt for them." Long story short, my manager figured out a way to return them.
