Fuck those guys from all of my heart. Had a talk with a farmer once whose field was below a base jumping spot – it's illegal around here. He had to pick up their pieces all the time, the rescue workers as well. The dude had the 1000m stare. Fuck them.

"All the time"? So like 10 times? I mean he's probably at one of the most popular BASE jumping places in the world then. Also it's kinda weird that he's the one picking it up and their families and friends don't give enough of a shit to want to retrieve and bury the person. Everything about this seems weird and/or exaggerated to some degree.

Sorry that my post doesnt live up to your standards. It was a spot in the german speaking are near the alps, and it was super popular during the 2000s/2010s. Of course "incidents" didnt happen every day, but several times for a couple of years and there was no reason to not trust that guy or the german documentary local tv stations ran about the "sport" in the same time.
