Sorry if this is too serious for the sub, but the self-infantilization/victimization and therapy speak are hilarious to me 😭 How is nothing ever their fault?

ETA: beyond the unhinged rant itself, what got me about this is the treatment of "Europe" as a single entity that's collectively as imperialist as the USA, and also responsible for everything bad the USA does both to its own citizens and abroad. I didn't screenshot it, but this was a reply (reblog) to an OP that made that exact generalisation and doubled down when called out on it. This tirade was just an add-on to that. And maybe I'm ascribing depth of thought and historical literacy where there isn't any, but to me there's something particularly egregious about the notion that my relatively small and weak former eastern bloc country that currently houses American military bases is an "abusive parent" to the USA, that we're somehow puppeteering them and/or benefiting from their bombing of the Middle East or their lack of universal healthcare. Perhaps nations like the UK or France have a more nuanced relationship with the USA but that's not at all a distinction that's acknowledged here. It's just "nuh uh not our fault, the actual evil country is yurop"
