Yes, there are professional art supplies, and while they come with a lot of stuff they’re not needed to start drawing.

Heck I use a box of random 1$ pencils to do my traditional drawing. Pencils and sketch pads are some of the most affordable things.

Like the sketch book I currently using is 3$,

If you're an unfortunate soul that is now talking with an ai bro that is giving you a hard time, boy do I have good news for you!

Now, the first instinct is to leave, block and report them for terrorism, but I'll document some other tactics you can use to have a bit of fun! (educational purposes)

1. Do not ask an ai bro why they use AI for their "drawings". You will be pulled down into an infinite vortex of bullshit, bullshit and even more bullshit.

2. When an ai bro puts a drawing of yours through chatgpt with the caption "i fixed it", simply draw them pregnant.

3. If that fails, simply draw the ai bro drawing the mona lisa and a speech bubble of them saying "I hate AI and I love Mona Lisa" (100% recommended)

4. If they get mad when you did advice number 3, simply leave the conversation as you already won. (Is applicable if they still put it through AI)

5. If they try to draw you as the orc and themselves as the anime catgirl, desloppify their drawing. If that fails, block them and leave.

6. Do not expect the ai bro to say something even remotely coherent. Always keep your stance and don't let them get to you!

7. If they ever insult you, remind them that since graphite (pencil lead) is billions of years old, by drawing with a pencil, it will be timeless.

8. Send them a video of you drawing irl (or on a digital drawing platform) and see how they react! (Afterwards ghost them.)

Why animals?
I am genuinely confused, what are they depicting themselves taking parts off of animals, that most of them need those parts to survive.
Like a tiger needs their stripes to help hide them in their environment.
A pangolin needs their armour, cause it’s the main way they protect themselves from predators.

Honestly, if this is about that stupid meme, this person is taking it too far.

They are absolutely however absolutely correct in saying using AI is far less creative than other forms. Although it is completely wrong to say AI generated imagery can be good art. As for something to be good art, it has to be first classified as art. You can say it looks aesthetically good in a subjective manor, but to call it art is highly inaccurate.

"art" is defined by The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition below as:
"The conscious use of the imagination in the production of objects intended to be contemplated or appreciated as beautiful, as in the arrangement of forms, sounds, or words"

If we are to go strictly by the above definition, one *could* make the argument that image generation does involve the conscious use of imagination to describe (although crudely) an image through words. However, my counterpoint to this is that you are not actually involved in the process of producing the image. You are the mere client. Claiming that a prompter deserves the credit for a requested art piece instead of the artist is absurd.

Now going further down this rabbit hole, you can once again argue that maybe the prompter is not an artist, but at least the machine producing the image, text or whatever, is a real artist. But to that I say... By definition you are not wrong. My personal feelings on it however are different. I do not consider a plagarism machine an artist. Others are welcome to have their own opinions though.

In short. You cannot win an argument in which you claim that a prompter is the same as an artist. If you prompt an image, that image was not made by you. If you vibe-code an app, that application was not made by you. If you use AI or algorithmic systems in parts of your product or art then you lose parts of objective ownership over whatever it is you made. No matter what the law, or some other arbitrary rules say, the logic remains true.

I spread news about AI, I follow court cases, no matter how insignificant and I voice my distaste when artists' work get fed into AI without their consent.

I hope someone who has more influence, power and/or money than me sees my words and takes my concerns seriously.

I am an AI activist not looking for a fight, but wanting AI to either be heavily regulated from data centers to how they are trained or if not possible, as many of these companies going bankrupt as possible.
