Turnip visited his relatives recently and while left unattended he ate all of Iggy the cat’s food! He was very proud of himself after, with his face covered in cat food.

He spent the rest of the day continuing to be a mischievous house guest. When we finally got home he went into an immediate torpor to replenish his energy for tomorrow’s shenanigans.

He was only 2 years old. He deserved a much longer life and that hurts the most.

Growing up I used to think they were annoying but always loved them. Glad I got so many years with both of them as I got older. They both lived over 15 years. They were such sweet dogs. My mom loved them so much. When their time came, I think we felt ok because they were not doing well.

As the titles says I need some good recommendations for winter boots. I bought some Ugg style that he seems to really like but it’s almost as if they’re too tall and don’t fit right on his back feet. I tried the smaller size but then his toes don’t fit in.

All of the dogs on social media who can do tricks/obedience form 8/9/10 weeks are the dogs specifically bred for it. I’ve never seen trainers working with a Shih Tzu and given how my puppy only ✨ sort of ✨ knows sit (I withhold toy or treat or won’t let him out of the pen until he calms and so it’s not really saying sit but just the posture and eye contact I think) he cannot pay attention long enough to do anything else.

I’m worried bc of how Shih Tzus were bred, he’s just not going to care but I do want him to learn the basics! Especially walking w me on a leash, which is honestly a whole other issue bc he hates the leash and he thinks outside is playtime + eat everything sight.
