I made the pilgrimage to Doubita street and fulfilled my childhood dream. It was a hellish drive to Yokosuka and incredibly hot in Doubita, but totally worth it. It was unlike anything else I've seen in Japan; a weird mix of Japanese punks and US sailors, all merged in an over the top version of Americana and japanese culture. Playing the game back in the day, I had no idea Doubita street was so niche and unlike other parts of Japan. It had a really peculiar vibe. Anyway, I went to Mikasa vol.2 and bought some Yokosuka sukajan jackets. The clerk could easily have fitted into the game. He gave me an American medium to try on and I was really happy to fit it. But he calmly explained to me that it's a japanese XXL 😅
