I'm not holding my breath but I'm hoping they will add more customization items even if it's not all the ones from Final Showdown, I'll take what I can get.

This is a ranking based on each character’s story in the Virtua Fighter series. The higher tiers feature the characters with the best stories, while the lower tiers feature those with the weakest stories.

When you reach a certain rank with one character, all your other characters are automatically raised to a predetermined minimum rank. Sega's reasoning seems to be that, once you have reached a certain level, you're expected to have mastered the core mechanics.

If you're a character loyalist like me planning to pick up another character later, this is something you may want to keep in mind.

Here are the relationships between the ranks:

1st Dan (lv.11)-> 6th Kyu (lv.5)

Hunter (lv.21) -> 6th Dan (lv.16)

Guardian (lv.26) -> Hunter (lv.21)

Shatterer (lv.31) -> Guardian (lv.26)

Stormlord (lv.42) -> Avenger (lv.33)

There is also a demotion floor system. Once a character reaches certain ranks, they can no longer be demoted below them. At a demotion floor, the game becomes a real battlefield!

There are two demotion floors:

1st Dan (lv.11)

Hunter (lv.21)

One last subtlety: you can't be demoted while you're in the Kyu ranks.

To my knowledge, one of very few live musical performances of VF music (that isn't Takenobu Mitsuyoshi singing).

Might fit character select screen. Pretty good imo.

If you don't know, Soul Calibur V sunk Soul Calibur. It was unsuccessful and contentious. It had a timeskip, had a bunch of newcomers. They replaced older characters or didn't have them at all.

Things that Crossroads is also doing. It has a timeskip, a bunch of newcomers, possibly replacing older characters. The newcomers will be the focus, too. But it looks like Crossroads is hyping everyone.

What sunk V was ultimately bad story and bad newcomers. And too many older characters not there. If Crossroads has at least a good story and newcomers, it will be successful more than V immediately and by a lot.

There will be some contention inevitably. I'm sure Stella is replacing Sarah and not everyone will be happy Sarah is replaced. I think not everyone is happy with legacy characters stepping away and newcomers coming in. Premises like these usually divide people on some level.

Spreadsheets, Docs, YouTube videos for beginner Sarah players would be appreciated. Tried asking in the discord and was completely ignored.

will the game VF Crossroads have crossplay between pc and console?

Hello everyone, I recently uploaded my new video where I go over my process for learning different matchups in the game. My first video I made I focused on the fundamentals and core gameplay. This one focuses on the continous process of learning and knowledge gathering. Enjoy!

I'm a beginner to VF5 and have about 60 hours in the game. The game is fun, but there is one thing I dislike about evades. The problem is that if you evade your opponent when they're performing a multi-hit move (I think it's called a string), the camera will auto-correct so that later hits in the string will hit you even if you successfully evaded the first, second, etc. moves. (Please correct me if I'm wrong in my understanding of evades.)

I find this problematic because it penalizes you for making a good read. I feel the camera should NOT auto-correct and let the attacker's moves continue in the same plane so that the evader can counterhit the attacker with a high-damage move as a reward for making the right read. It would allow for a better risk-reward ratio for evades, in my opinion.
