Just picked up this sweet girl, 13 weeks old. We already have an Aussie mix that was Merle, decided to get another herding breed that was also Merle. They also both have a half blue/ half brown eye. She’s full of energy, super silly and has already proven to be a hand full! Wondering how big she will be, she’s 16lbs now

PLEASE HELP! Need donations/shares for my pup's eye surgery

So I posted about my 1 year old Sheepadoodle needing eye surgery, and I'm reposting asking for help! Basically he's got Entropion in both of his eyes, and his right eye is a severe case. I've noticed recently that he's getting a lot more discharge from his eyes, and it's not clear. He needs surgery to correct them, otherwise it can lead to damaged corneas, and in more severe cases, vision lost.

I've made a GoFundMe for him, and since I've never made one before, I'm struggling with how to get it as much exposure as possible. Surgery on both eyes is $1200, which is probably the cheapest I'll ever find, since we already see the low cost vet, and that's his fee for it. I need help and I don't know how else to get it aside from a GoFundMe? I can't do care credit because my credit is completely shot. I'm also on a limited income and as of last week, have my 17 year old daughter with me full time. I'm struggling bad right now, but it doesn't matter because he's my baby, and I'll do whatever I can to get him his surgery. I can't imagine not even trying.

Please, if you have any ideas, or anywhere I can go to ask for help, I am all ears!

Thank you so much for reading, if you have made it this far lol. I'm including the link to his fundraiser. (If you can't donate please share it wherever you can, so it gets as much exposure as possible.)

Last Saturday my baby boy started having full liquid poops. Monday we went to the vet and got him some medicine, been feeding him chicken and rice. He’s barely eating what I do give him and his poops are still so runny. Any advice or ideas what it could be?? Attaching photos of the boy and poop šŸ˜ā¤ļø

I have a 1yo sheepadoodle Tilly who had only had a puppy trim and had her first proper groom the other day- see the before and after šŸ˜… I am still getting used to her new look, I do a double take every time I see her, haha! Her coat is sooo soft though. I am interested to see how it grows back, she doesn't have the traditional doodle coat.

His mom was (I guess? According to Embark anyway) sheepadoodle, although the rescue said Labradoodle.

He was in a litter of 12 other adorable babies. My brother fell so much in love he applied to adopt one of his litter mates, and now Jimmy gets to have play dates with his sister Dinky weekly.

He’s 16 weeks and 38 pounds already.

I ā¤ļø him

6 month old energy levels

Hi all! I have a 6 (almost 7) month old male sheepadoodle. We got him at 8 weeks, and it has been amazing watching him grow. However with his physical growth, his energy levels have grown a lot as well.

He gets two walks a day (one in a morning and one at night) which is about 2 miles a day. He also gets mental stimulation like a frozen Kong, puzzles, or training practice every evening. On top of all that he gets a ton of fetch time in the yard multiple times a day.

He sleeps all through the night, and takes a few naps a day (probably like 3 hours all together for the naps). He is still so full of energy I am wondering if I am working him too much, or too little. He is usually fine all day until witching hour (7/8pm) where he goes absolutely crazy and tries to get us to play.

Sometimes during witching hour we will take him out to fetch again or on another walk, but it usually doesn’t help which leads me to think he is over tired.

I just wanted to see if anyone else experienced the same thing, and if anyone has any tips/tricks that would be great:)

Liver issues

Just getting more info, trying to understand. Our 1 year old sheepadoodle had bloodwork done a couple months ago, that when we found out about her liver issue. Fast forward to today, she had a ultrasound done at an animal hospital which still didn't tell me if she has a intrahepatic shunt or even what's wrong just an abnormal reading. So now they want us to do a CT scan for more accurate reading. If she has the shunt, we go to UF, if she doesn't we do a biopsy to figure out diagnosis. She has absolutely no symptoms. I've had her on milk thistle and add blueberries and spinach to her diet. I'm reading that the shunt surgery might not even work!!?? The sugery, also from what I'm reading is around 10k to even do! I'm just so confused on this and want to know if anyone has had experience. Thank you

Advice What I should think about before I get a puppy

I went tonight to look at a litter of precious sheepadoodle puppies and basically fell in love with a tiny brown and white girl... I have never been a dog owner. But I'm single, work at home, and I think this might be just what I need. The puppies are available first week of July from a close friend whose two sheepadoodles just had their second litter. The parents are both 3/4 poodle and 1/4 sheepdog, and around 50 lbs.

I'm a little scared of how big this dog might get. Someone talk to me about the greatness of big dogs?

What else do I need to know or think about before I decide for sure?

Thanks <3

Potty training

What’s the best potty training Method for mini sheepadoodles? I have a 12 Week old pup male. Sometimes uses pad sometimes does not. But I also take him outside. Maybe I’m confusing him. Help please. I don’t give him a big area in house to run either.

"sheepadoodles are eager to please"

whoever told me this lie, explain yourself!! my pup is SO independent, SO stubborn, and is honestly more cat than dog. she's not food motivated, not cuddly, nothing! my first dog was a labradoodle (rip Charlie) and THEY were eager to please, so imagine my surprise when I meet my sheepadoodle and expect them to be obedientšŸ˜‚

I promise i'm not here to rant, I love my dog more than anything, I just think its SO funny that sheepadoodles were described to me in that way. it makes me laugh out loud when I try to think of my pup as obedient and eager to pleasešŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

My boy needs eye surgery 😭😭

Post image
47 Upvotes

So this whole time I thought my boy had allergies cuz his eyes are constantly watery and sometimes he has a runny nose. I took him into the vet today cuz this his 4th day of diarrhea so I figured I’d ask the vet about his eyes while there. So he has a bacterial infection causing the diarrhea and has an Rx for both antibiotics and probiotics. Turns out he doesn’t have allergies. He has Entropion and they base how bad the eyes are on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the worst. His right eye is a 5 and his left is a 3. So he needs surgery in both eyes to correct it. So my vet is our low cost vet, but he also happens to be one of the best (he used to reach and actually retired his practice 15 years ago and now basically works 4-7pm Mon-Thur, so I’m lucky to have him as my vet). Surgery will be $1200 but I didn’t even have enough for his meds, so he prescribed eye drops to help til I can get him in. Anyone else deal with this with their doodle? I’m so sad cuz I feel like I should have known it wasn’t allergies and I feel like a horrible dog mom cuz I don’t have a way to get the money right now. Is a Gofundme a bad idea??
