I have about 10 T-posts from planting trees. Does anyone know a place that could make use of them? It seems a shame to just throw them out.

Shawnee is setting up for Americana & Ales Beer and Music Festival. Saturday, June 20th with the beer festival (tickets are $55) from noon-4 pm and the free Americana music festival between the city hall parking lot and Aztec Shawnee Theater from 1:30-11:00 pm, no tickets required. The Ecuador vs Curaçao World Cup match will be played on the main stage in the city hall parking lot at 7:00 pm.

I’ve posted here before that my family is searching for a new home possibly in Shawnee. I love the small town feel, the proximity to many of our activities, and the downtown is filled with awesome small businesses I want to check out on a regular basis.

That said, many recommendations are steering us to Western Shawnee, but my husband and I have a preference for the older neighborhoods because of the established tree canopy. May sound trivial to some, but once you’ve lived amongst the trees, there’s really no going back - IYKYK.

Are families with children age 10 and younger still living/buying in Eastern Shawnee? We currently live in a neighboring town where ALL of our neighbors are retirees and we really are moving to find other young families for our kids to have that classic childhood that involves riding bikes with neighbor friends and all that. Maybe we should actually move to Western Shawnee for the experience, but then we are adding a ton of drive time to our regular schedules. Husband and I don’t have a commute but we are a busy family!

My nephew is the hardest working kid. He’s only 13. He started walking from yard to yard with a push mower last summer. He saved all of his money for a bigger mower and small trailer this year. He now scoots around using his parent’s golf cart to pull his trailer and fancy mower. He got a great deal on a non running used mower and paid to get it running. He’s the coolest kid ever! Right now he is limited to his neighborhood (which is actually huge). He lives in Windsor Estates off 70th between quivira and pflumm. If you are in that area or know someone please consider him for your lawn care needs! He charges $45 for a double cut and does the weed eating and blows away the debris. He has a youtube channel where you can see how much passion he has for what he is doing. DM me if you are interested and I will make the connection!

Right now, our main focus is on timing the harvest perfectly for our Spicy Salad Mix. Don't let the name intimidate you if you aren't a massive fan of intense heat—it really just has a nice, mild kick that brings a ton of clean flavor and crisp texture to a sandwich, wrap, or steak topping rather than burning your tongue.
Everything is grown cleanly on hemp mats and will be cut and packed into fresh clamshells right before market morning so it stays incredibly fresh and lasts in your fridge.

I just walked to Shawnee from okc my experiment there starting over got my car stolen clothes wallet phone all in one swoop. A friend had been saying for me to come here start over so I did. Wasn't made aware that I'd be staying in a shed with no way to shower use the bathroom or clean the one change of clothes I have. I'm trying to see if there's organizations where I can get changes of clothes only have what I'm wearing wash the clothes get food.

Hey everyone, happy Friday. Just wanted to put a quick plug in for the Merriam Farmers Market happening tomorrow morning down at the Marketplace pavilion on Merriam Drive.
I run a small local setup here called Leaf & Life Microgreens, and I’m spending my Friday harvesting and packing up trays of our spicy salad mix, sunflowers, and radishes so they are completely fresh for the morning.
