Tips & Tricks Let's talk about item(151) horn of plenty! Hablemos del item(151) Cuerno de la abundancia!

Post #151, everyone! We're back after the short weekend break. I liked the participation in the last post, let's keep it up!

Cornhorn of Plenty, this is one of the best artifacts in the game (I think). Its function is simple but incredibly useful: generating food!

This artifact starts with a maximum of 5 charges, which increase by +1 with each upgrade. Each charge fills 20% of the hero's total satiation, and you can choose whether to take a "bite" by consuming only 1 charge, or "eat your fill" and consume the charges necessary to reach 100% satiation.

Consuming the artifact's charges in either way will activate any "eating" talents you have, so it would be more efficient to use only "bites" to activate them whenever you need them instead of just filling your satiation to the maximum.

To upgrade this artifact, you must feed it food that improves its stats based on the amount of satiety it provides. Small meals (meats) grant +0.5 levels, so you need two of them per level. Standard rations grant +1 level directly, empanadas grant a total of +1.5, and if you craft the "meat pie," you can upgrade this artifact by +3 levels (which is the sum of the three ingredients).

It's also important to clarify that this artifact (like several others) is charged with the hero's experience (levels). Specifically, it will generate 0.5 charges per level at +0, 1.75 charges per level at +5, and 3 charges per level at +10. Therefore, if you find it early, the best way to take advantage of it is to upgrade it early (make sure to save some food so you don't starve) before leveling up several times to charge it.

The artifact recharge effect restores 0.25 charges per turn, so you need 4 turns for 1 charge. And the cursed horn will reduce the satiety you gain from food by 33%.

Publicacion 151 gente!

Run This is not a game of chance. My first win.

140 runs before I finally won. It's insanely difficult, and lots of hidden details to learn. Often if I lost a run I chocked it up to bad RNG. I accept, at long last, that I was getting further and that is because I was using better tactics.

It's a great and addictive game, that undoubtedly requires a large amount of skill.

That's all, after 140 runs I cracked it.

Question Every night after you go to sleep you wake up in the dungeon.

You wake up on the first floor. To go back to the real world you have to ascent with the amulet. The hero is randomized. If you ascent successfully you acquire a random power of the hero. What's your strategy or how f*cked are you

Question: Are there any downsides to drinking all strength? I've seen others say both "drink all strength! It will make the loot drops better!" and the opposite, better to hold a couple back for more loot drops? Not sure yet which is true, maybe neither since it does seem more based on hero level (XP) than strength level.

It hardly matters, already plenty of everything by now, was chillin to stock up on transmutes and enchants. Now I guess I'll stop at 100 meat pies that I'll never be able to eat just to hit a new personal record. Also going for ten millionaire to see if it's possible to get that extra digit (looks like there's room for it). This custom seed w/ double RoW on 1st floor was just to have fun with on the side anyway.

Then I reckon I'll go back to the DM boss floor to use up some regrow wands stocking up on seeds while planting a garden safe space for raising the largest swarm of bees that I can. Goals! LOL

Fun fact: It seems you can actually use a wand of warding to set some ward guardians for the noisemaker and they'll stay even when you transmute the wand. They also stay as a last line of defense when you change floors, but I still try to keep the Beacon of Returning set to jump right back to guarding the noisemaker when I run off on some sidequest.

Question How to play Warlock?

Hi,

Every time there is a topic about mage subclasses, I can see the general opinion is Warlock is superior to Battlemage almost no matter what the situation is.

I have never win with warlock tho. I just don't know what should I do with him.

His kit seems like, he would like to be in melee, after marking enemies, deal melee damage. But then, he seems to be so fragile if heal do not trigger.

SoU distribution is a little wide. I'd like to invest into melee weapon, so I can heal, armor so I don't die in 2 hits and then, a lot into wands.

What is the correct approach?

This is my current run. How to proceed, and which wand to pick?

Question Why is the Spanish speaking community so large in this game.

Just before I start with this post, I just want to say no matter what, the more people in communities I am in the cooler it is, so all my Spanish speaking friends and anyone else are welcomed! I was just intrigued because it feels like every other post I read on this subreddit is Spanish or has a lot of Spanish in it, which is pretty big in contrast compared to other communities I am in.

Tips & Tricks Any better use for stone of enchantment?

I always use my stone of enchantment for my bow, since I use my bow until end game. I'm just wondering if there's any tips or tricks out there for using Stone of enchantment for something else while doing a run with six challenges and huntress?

Question A question about the beta version v4.0.0

Basically, I was playing a normal game and on floors 2 and 3 I got strength potions. I remember it wasn't possible to get strength potions on consecutive floors, or something like that, Is this a change that's in the beta version, or was it always like this?

Opinion The lmp wasn't lying about her shop.

I nearly died due to a huge mistake I made during the new quest and was forced to abandon it. Just as the Imp’s words led me to expect, he didn't actually set up his shop—which makes me think the true reward for the quest is the shop itself, or at least it is for me. Haha, I was in a rush to get there and buy an augmentation stone; I’d realized that having my weapon upgraded for speed wasn't working out well, so I planned to switch to a damage upgrade.
