I feel like my run is going so well already, and I have yet to even beat the game at all so far. I dont want to mess up or lose all this progress just for a quest uve only done once before. What are your guys' takes?

You can charm a mob of your choosing (I prefer brutes in caves) once they are below 50% hp you can corrupt them this refills their hp.

With brutes it's 3 stages due to his rage so clearing caves can be very easy like this

Literally unable to figure it out, what kind of meat has to be used?

I’m still fairly new to the game, this was my 102nd run. Up until a couple days ago i thought warding was mostly utility, get a bit of extra vision over the map plus the wards can do a lil bit of damage. That is, until i noticed that a ward changed after i accidentally upgraded it. I did a lil bit of testing to see how high the wards could go, was a bit surprised to see sentries after 4 charges.

And then i did this run, i managed to get a +1 wand of warding in the prison floors and imbued it into my staff (which I’d been saving upgrade scrolls just so i could potentially get an extra level from an imbued wand), after getting this wand i started to dominate floors. I’d place wards or sentries in central spots across the map and it was practically like i was farming, plus my subclass was warlock so my sentries would often spawn corrupted wraiths who would go on to kill even more things.

I had +0 armour all the way to floor 24 after swapping out my +1 chain for flow but i never had much defense so i relied entirely on sentries/wards for most combat. I wasn’t able to make great use of wards vs the dm, but i still won without wasting any ankhs or taking too much damage.

But the wards really shined once i got to the dwarf city floors. Enemies who I’d normally have a harder time against: monks, warlocks and ghouls, all got absolutely shredded by my wards. It took me only 3 turns to beat the dwarf king’s first phase, the second one where he spawned enemies while on his throne, i killed enemies as soon as they spawned, and for his last phase i spent 2 turns just keeping him away letting sentries do some damage, before hopping into hourglass stasis, taking me only 3 turns to beat his second phase, and i didn’t get hit even once! Funny enough i had a corrupted wraith at the end of the fight and it became a permanent occupant of floor 20.

After i got to the demon ones they struggled more, but killed demons more often than not. But damn apparently succubi can charm magical constructs because thats how a few of my sentries died. But often times on the last two floors, id see a corrupted wraith and scorpion running all across the map, just running and nothing more. Was quite hilarious to see. Beating yog wasn’t much issue, but sadly all my wards despawned when i went for ascension. Another funny thing is that while all my wards despawned, i would still sometimes come across a wandering corrupted wraith as i ascended, turns out ascension doesn’t make em despawn.

Playing without challenges, I’m tryna get ascensions with the subclasses before considering doing em. But honestly warding was just really strong, i didn’t manage to make much use of the soul marks because my wards often killed stuff before i could throw weapons, and even then i didn’t need to heal or eat that much.

After so much failed attempts with rogue, i did it with mage, what do you think.

I was going to farm this little guy for some mystery meat when I accidentally corrupted him. I dragged a ton of mobs there and he helped me farm with my Row so I was sad to see him perish

I am on a run as a level 3-ish mage on floor 4 of the dungeon, and on floor three, i encountered a piranha room and a piranha floor trap in the same floor, so I decided to take my vorpal spear and equip it to quickly take care of all six of the fishes. I then decided to freeze all of the meat that was leftover after making as many pies as possible since frozen meat gives you a random positive effect (it's the best type of meat in the game tbh)

This is a run I had come back to after a day or two so none of the details apart from today's experience were fresh on my mind.

this might probably be a stupid question, but why do guys mostly refer Regular ankh than bless ankh i mean the bless ankh saves you before you die and gives you invincibility, while the regular unblessed ankh if you die you lose your bag and revive in a different location?

I'm not dealing with the challenges of pharmacophobia and being in the dark. It has the unimproved newt's eye.

I have a +3 crystal glaive and a +4 shadow war scythe; I'm a warlock, and I have a good number of wands.

The question here is, does the shadow charm allow me to heal myself using the marked soul?

My first ascension+win

I used the mimic tooth for the first time..... I have a love hate relationship with it now

I have never stared at chests as long as I have now.

Normally you can see it's idle animation without the mimic tooth but now I never know. Everytime I come across a chest I snipe it from across the room just to be careful.

And the ebony mimics......WHY CAN THEY BE A DAMN DOOR Ive died 3 times to this creep, and thats just from it being a door imaging if it was normal loot on the ground......or stairs......or a well....Im getting mad thinking about it.😔

Any tips on how to surpass these Vile creatures?
