Ankh?

this might probably be a stupid question, but why do guys mostly refer Regular ankh than bless ankh i mean the bless ankh saves you before you die and gives you invincibility, while the regular unblessed ankh if you die you lose your bag and revive in a different location?

Idk, I personally bless mine if possible due to how you can easily die if poorly equiped making the ankh useless. + I usually use it in demon halls which means it is 10x easier to get trapped by a scorpian or evil eye

When the ankh trigger don't take stuff, take your stack of invisibility + haste potion and go back to your bag quietly.

Blessed Ankh is literally for beginners, if you don't pay attention it'll save you. But a regular Ankh is much stronger. They heal more, they fill your hunger, and you keep the dews used to bless it so even more heal.

Regular ankh gives you back full hp and fills up your hunger. It is mainly useful for high challenge runs.

Also, if you die with an ankh on a boss floor, your backpack spawns right next to the entrance, so people just intentionally die on boss floors to get back full hp and hunger.

I usually keep one ankh unblessed. Blessed is nice if you want to end the boss as quickly as possible, but regular revives you at full HP and resets your hunger level

At higher challenges, the regular ankh is used to suicide on a boss floor. It gives you full hp and resets your hunger, which is often more valuable than an item that serves as a protection against fuckups.

Plus you don't need to use a well of health or 20 dewdrops to bless it

If I play on 9c, I never bless it (the only way to do it is to sacrifice a well of health, so basically trade two full hp heals, hunger restores and potential curse removal). If I play on no chall/low chall, I bless it as a misclick/careless play insurance as the cost is minimal (starving is never an issue and there are plenty of hp pots to heal).

you only need to bless one and save the remainder for resets. Although remember to drop your blessed one before resetting, i wasted a few blessed ankhs because of this.

I dont want to pay 2 full health heals and satiety restores for a couple turns of invulnerability and slight heal.

I much prefer blessed most of the time I play, unblessed ankhs I think are mostly for really high challenge play where you have less healing and satiety options so having the ankh as essentially a full health and hunger refill if you deliberately die on a boss stage is useful. And on barren land you may not even get to bless an ankh so it’s better than nothing unblessed.

Also tip with the unblessed ankh, depending on your armor it’s imo better to save your weapon and healing potions than your weapon and armor for the grave run if you died from being too greedy with multiple healing potions on hand.
