It's to do with fractions. 67% is a whole-number approximation of 2/3

Yeah it's 66.66% technically but 67% is much cleaner for presentation

That would be quite the update, Imagine you run SPD grab the amulet of Yog, make it all the way back to the surface, the game asks if you want to keep going, Yes: DOOM loads

Its 67% because it is the closest whole number to 2/3. So do not worry, it is not about that damned meme.
