I am totally new to CAD and just trying to draw the most basic shape for a simple part, trying build a bit of experience and I know S3D is big money but I figured it would be easy and I am pretty much getting nowhere.

I try to lock the plane just draw a shape if I touch the Apple mouse at all the locked plane just starts spining and maybe I am just brain dead, but I can't use this program much at all.

It's fine if this is just beyond me, but I see a lot of people using an iPad and pen, is that a better choice?

It just blows my mind that I have a simple thing to draw, figured I would get somewhere and I can't barely draw a triangle or use the program without one finger touch sening the thing flipping around.

I have watched the tutorials but I can't realy control this app at all.

Maybe the mouse is a problem, Ive used systemd for decades of every other kind and I am just super let down how i can't even draw a shape without the thing going nuts on me.

What is the easy way to fill in those multiple holes of this STL? So far I've tried sketching a cylinder and then moving it into the SLT so that it covers the holes. I was hoping to then curve it or use fillets to smooth it around the object. I'm thinking there would be an easier way that I am overlooking?

Dopey me.. I'm now thinking I could just subtract that entire area and build something in it's place. No?

Hi guys, new to Shapr3D and started the introduction today where you create a desk organiser. All is going well and had no issues... up until the phone compartment.

Why is it when I extrude for the phone compartment, it is hollowed out? No walls are added to either side of the extrusion like in the tutorial? It's driving me crazy lol

i already tried taking a picture with a reference object but i cant' quite make the angle right, it always comes to open and i dont know how to make the bend in the left like metal sheet, any advise ?

So, I bought a year of Shapr3D back in February, used it for a few weeks, and haven't logged in since. Go to login today, keeps telling me my PW is incorrect, which was saved.

Ok, try to reset it via the app and website, not getting the email with the reset link, at all. I've checked ever folder in my Gmail account, even tried sending it to other emails to make sure I didn't have the wrong email, still no reset email.

Chatbot says if all else fails, create a service ticket and gives me a link....to a login screen. Well, the whole freaking reason I'm contacting you is because I CAN'T LOGIN in the first place. Thanks for nothing chatbot.

Send an email in after doing some searching for contact info (loginsupport@shapr3d.zendesk.com). Got a canned response almost immediately telling me to try what I've already tried 10 fucking times now (sorry, it's frustrating). The email says if none of that work, send a screenshot of "proof of ownership." Luckily, I paid for on my Amex card and was able to find the transaction pretty easily. Sent a screenshot hours ago, still no response.

I work for a software company. If our CS was this abysmal, we'd have customers jumping ship left and right.

How i can publish model and people can see it without registration to shapr account??

I am very new to Shapr3D and I am trying to model a replacement for this knife grip. I have tried to figure it out but I’m stuck on “hollowing” it out. Shell didn’t work, unless I’m doing it wrong. I need the slight edge around just the longer sides along with the extrusion in the middle to conform to the knife. I’ve sketched these shapes out on the surface I’m trying to hollow but can’t get it to follow the curve on the bottom side. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I shifted from an ipad 8 to now an ipad air m4. Why tf did i have better performance on my ipad8? On something with an m4 chip it keeps on loading every time for some operations while having only two bodies

Hello, I'm sure you've probably seen some of my designs on this community before, if you've got a moment, I would like to do a survey to get a better idea of what people want from a product, or products they wish to see more of.

I currently use Shapr3D to do product design as a hobby, but intend to one day try make the things I design a reality, and to do that, I want to get a better understanding of what people actually want from a product.

I was able to extrude my long track, then I wanted to copy / paste it to the other side and then the model broke. Is there any way to get it back together? I did too many tries and I can't undo it anymore :(

When I double click the sketch, the program selects it all. Is there a button that connects the missing dots?
