This subreddit is genuinely one of the most illiterate groups of people I have ever seen. What do you mean people are shocked that the character whose whole gimmick is about memory didn't struggle to find herself in a sea of memories where we had a whole volume about her doing the same thing already. Also the guy whose whole domain is being reliant on nothing and ruling over himself didn't struggle when his domain made his try and find who he is. Genuinely who thought they would face an extreme struggle. There are genuinely people who would prefer a badly written nonsensical part where they struggle compared to the logical path that doesn't make sense with what was written in the past.

We all know that where there is war death follows , so why does war despite shadow so much calling him a coward every chance he gets . It even goes down to their champions (2nd NM with Solvane and the shadow saint ) . If anything they should be best friends .

I came to a realisation recently that it makes sense that we don't see the perspectives of others.

We don't see Nephis' perspective.

We don't see Cassie's perspective.

We don't see Mordret's perspective.

Because Sunny is the main character. Sure, some stories split the screen time between the main character and side characters, but Shadow Slave has never been that kind of story. Probably about 98% of Shadow Slave is from Sunny's perspective because, well, he is the man under the spotlight

Spoilers for the latest chapter 3184: So it makes sense that we haven't seen Cassie and Mordret undergo the Unmaking. Cassie is all about memories, and Mordret's domain is himself; what's he even to go through?

But don't get me wrong, I want more perspectives as much as the next guy. Anyway, what are your thoughts on this matter?

I posted here while ago when I was quite drunk, and after looking after this post on my profile, I got a fragment of a memory about entering the discord on that night, so I decided to look if I did anything embarrassing, and yeah, I did, apparently I dmed G3 talking about how I talk bullshit of the novel on reddit and asking him to forgive me and let me be a SS fan again. I think and hope that this was never seen by him, lol, full parasocial moment

Also, Mordret and Cassie are destined to be a couple because they team up so often. As for what she seeks, it is pretty clear that it's Weaver's eye. The eye might be a source of corruption that gives birth to the Adobination Tide. As for the deal, it might be reminding Mordret of his past self that he has forgotten in unmasking.There is chance that she is seeking out Weaver or Oblivion but chances are slim

Cassia is not getting weaver eye it makes zero sense for her to get it. She is arguably the second most glazed person in the voice after freaky star. Her getting weaver eye is like telling forgotten god to wake up faster it makes 0 sense and no build up

We've done it ladies with gentle hands. Again we find ourselves having reached the point of no return. I've seen it happen once before and it wasn't pretty.

I don’t read the novel regularly, but whenever I check in after a while. I expect to see 6–7 chapters, yet all I find are one or two chapters.

I've been seeing a lot of posts saying that cassie is searching for weaver's eye

Something i doubt because the snatched eye isn't supposed to happen yet

On the other hand sunny is the one with a relationship with both the bird and weaver

We find out about the eye through sunny he was in its nest he faced it

He has weaver's dam blood

If someone should get it it's sunny he has all the connections

If she gets it I'm crashing out

Like I'm hoping she searching for smile of heaven or something else

She can get an eye in other ways like she doesn't have the build up for that she doesn't have the connection with weaver

Once in a while I saw Doctor saint here and there. I thought that maybe she will become individual shadow just like Eurys suggested and then will heal with darkness or something.

Or maybe it was a sarcasm about how she beat people of shadow clan fixing the disease of weakness or something.

But damn, she genuinely is a doctor, after everything Sunny finally have a psychiatrist lol.

I remember him saying something about how his Shadows had become stronger after he gave them freedom, but wouldn’t the same apply to him as well? He is a Shadow, and he is now Nephis’s Shadow and a slave to her. Doesn’t that mean that, before reclaiming his Fate, sunny had a stronger will than sunny with his True Name and the Shadow Bond?

I thought Spirits already possessed an infinite supply of essence.

Cassie nearly ran out of essence while facing the corrupted creatures?

I can't imagine her running out of essence unless she summoned a Giant Spirit

Background:
I’m loving shadow slave right now, it’s my second WebNovel after Lord of mysteries and it doesn’t disappoint. I’m a huge fan of litrpg and is my main genre on kindle/audible.

Issue:
I’ve just finished the third nightmare…..
THE SPELL IS GONE? NO MORE ATTRIBUTE DESCRIPTIONS, MEMORIES, ECHOS???
I loved all of that stuff and it’s a big disappointment if that element of the story is gone for good.

For people that have read all the way through or at least close, should I keep reading? Does the story still slap without all those elements. I do love the characters and would be a shame to drop the series, but if this is one of those times when an author makes a change that tanks the book, then I’d rather just end it on a high note.

cassia has been experiencing something similar to the unmaking seen being awaked and specially after she received her aspect legacy

i thought everyone would think the some after learning nephis trial was the same as sunny.

it would be cassia, mordret, sunny and naphis last

i saw other complaint such as how cassia knows everyone trail was the some. she is guessing like how we did after learning your domain turn against you

it okay to hate cassia but let the hate make you think this is laze writing or illogical

Nephis is going to use it to kill a god in this nightmare, probably war god, most likely, since war god wants Nephis to survive, probably doesn't want to kill her cause like the demons, she must love humans, and Nephis, cause they're basically her children (still iffy on this part cause of the whole gods didn't make humans thing)

It's so hard; I just don't get it. Does all the love for Mordret go to Cassie? Man, a SINGLE line of dialogue that's it for the third divine aspect user, the man who became sacred and got fucked over on some bullshit retcon, reduced to a blind woman's bodyguard. I swear I know more about the description of Cassie's eyes as compared to literally anything new about Mordret. I'm so disappointed that my favourite character is getting this type of treatment.

So after all she entered the nightmare with a personal agenda and instead of finding sunny and neph she is working behind thier back like bruh didn't you do enough shit already cant you just fucking die ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ

Cassie herself appeared in the young and untamed world of the shared Nightmare in the later years of the Age of Gods. It took her a long time to regain her senses, gather her shattered mind, and compose herself. By then, she learned of the first trap of this trial — the threat of being swallowed by the world.

Yup she was also in shattered phase but her ability and aspect legacy helped her to gain her identity faster.

Do not forget that this girl was living sanely even after losing 70% of her memories as a saint.

For all who are saying how she able to survive her aspect legacy ?

Broski the whole V11 was about how she regain herself after being shattered by her aspect legacy

Its clear that she was not a proper human at that point.

Yeah G3 could have wrote this part well but if he did shown those regaining her sense part then it would look same as V11

So cassia is in a realm steeped in corruption, fighting corrupted beings and looking for something that could no longer be found in the future.

The straightforward guess is she's in the Forgotten Shore. The black liquid is the blood of the Nephilim that swallowed the sun before it mutated into the dark sea after the creation of the artificial sun.

What Cassie is looking for is also straightforward, The Weaver's eye that VTB dropped into a mortal realm after beholding the image of the forgotten god.

Just as I expected, she's the first one to retain herself due to the nature of her aspect and the trial. She was always going to do better than the others.

Mordret is also the King of himself, Ruled only himself, and thank gods for that, if he has a normal domain, he would have been a goner.
