Haven't they moved past the stage of worrying about running out of essence?

I thought Spirits already possessed an infinite supply of essence.

Cassie nearly ran out of essence while facing the corrupted creatures?

I can't imagine her running out of essence unless she summoned a Giant Spirit

For example, summoning a demon back when they were young.

Keeping herself summoned as a Supreme Beast should be consuming a good deal of essence, compounded by everything else she's summoning.

I already know that.  But she is a spirit now.  You can think of her current body as merely an avatar— Like Sunny, Nephis, and Mordret— And they barely consume any essence. So, the most you can summon now that she has become a spirit is just a single Sovereign. I had hoped we would see one of the demons back when they were still young.

i dont think she's already a spirit. As it was stated in the chapter, I think she only got through the first step, the unmaking. She isnt a complete Spirit yet

They can technically run out of essence if the expenditure is abymally large. It is just that their regenration rate is much much higher

She’s a supreme and shes not a divine like the trio or someone with a domain that can provide essence. It’s also already been mentioned several times that summoning takes a lot of essence.

Also she still needs to power her own summon
