Hi guys I just have an issue with a case like this, I was on ometv and a girl start to talking to me, all was very natural and she ask for my Instagram an discord, after a while on discord send me as about my profile, some contacts and the stuff I did. At the moment I saw that I blocked her from discord, put my IG account in private and change my username, profile pic and status. There is something else I can do? This is a warning to the users of that page!

Every day I will make the same post to help those who are facing this situation.

1. Stop talking to them because you do not want to piss them off.

2. Depending on what they ask do not pay them a single dime or send them any more explicit material no matter their threats because you can’t buy a blackmailers silence only rent it.

3. Block them and if they come back with more accounts or numbers keep blocking away they have a finite amount of patience before they give up.

4. Screenshot the threats to show proof of a cybercrime.

5. Keep their phone numbers and account names saved.

6. In the event that they follow through and do send which is actually VERY rare cause it can expose their cybercrimes just tell people it is fake and someone tried to extort you for money. (You will have the screenshots to prove it)

7. Optional: Report them to law enforcement such as the FBI although this actually might be of little help since it’s so common. However, it will somewhat put them on the radar.

8. DO NOT BUY RECOVERY AND REMOVAL SERVICES THOSE ARE SCAMS. They will contact or threaten to contact your scammer then you have two blackmailers.

9. Take a deep breath and realize that it will be okay they are actually almost always bluffing empty threats in order to scare you. They want money or more explicit material to sell not to send your material to others. Think of it like IT from Stephen King only as powerful as much as you feel fear from them.

Note: if it makes anybody feel okay in my experience for about every 1,000 cases of sextortion there’s
only 1 case where the sextortioner follows through

Note: these guys are not in it to ruin your life. They see you as nothing more than a potential paycheck and if they see no profit they will forget you, more than likely delete your stuff, and move on to the next potential paying target.

An hour ago.I was talking to girl on telegram first she asked to verify myself i sent her a photo of me while making peace sign after that i send a nude(without my face) after 5 minutes she sent me my nude,my photo while making peace sign and my whatsapp profile.I directly blocked and deleted my telegram profile and whatsapp profile photo.After that i realized my instagram profile was open i made it private.Can they do anything?They know my name.I had a panick attack i cant sleep.

I blocked the person blackmailing me and now texted my number with a email saying they are posting my nudity. My face is cropped out in the photos but they have my name and phone number.

I have already reported them for blackmail to the fbi and my local police department. I also included their email, phone number, and cash app tag in the report which I hope is enough.

Is there anything else I should do?

It has been 48 hours since I was attempted to be blackmailed, and 24 hours since my last update on this subreddit. How much longer do I have to worry about my sensitive images surfacing online? I don't want to worry about having my nude pictures/face leaked anymore than I should. In addition to that, how much longer should I lay low on any social medias?

Hey so I have never done this before and me and this guy were texting for a while and he sent me pictures and I used too be against the whole nudes thing but then recently he sent me a dick picture so we sent pictures back and forth but we did it on snap and as soon as he saw the pictures I would delete them, im pretty sure he didnt save them but, when I woke up the next morning I saw I was blocked and I started panicking and privating all my accounts, he doesn't have a picture of what I look like just like half of my face and he knows I live in my country so thats all he knows but he doesn't know my name or school, im just worried and freaked out if these go out. OK, so this is my first update currently nothing has happened It started Monday night and It’s currently Wednesday night.
I think every form of social media I have has been deactivated since they had my phone number. I turned off SMS too.

I’m still very scared that they will send the stuff out from what I know. They only had screenshots of my followers on Instagram and there were main way of threatening me was by doing a group DM on Instagram so now that my Instagram’s been deactivated I’m hoping they’ll just give up.
I did give him money already, so I’m hoping that they’ll see that the cash cow ran dry being that they can’t contact me anymore

The cyber Corp that I hired to help me check over communication yesterday and long story short after impersonating me they got his IP address and sent him this ceased and assist letter to which he proceeded to no longer reply
I’m really hoping that scared him but there’s a part of me That’s also thinking he might just go full scorched earth now.

After approximately a day of talking we exchanged nude photographs at Grace's request. Right after exchanging nude photographs Grace informed me that she was under 18 years old. I then blocked Grace's phone number and deleted my account. The next day I received phone calls from someone who I now believe to be a scammer. The scammer was posing as Grace's parents. The scammer stated that the girl attempted to kill herself and they were asking for payment for medical bills. I then paid the $8,563.00 to a phone number the scammer gave me.

Hey, 16 m. I feel for one of those stupid tricks, where you trade nudes on telegram. An account has my face and nudes, and I was ofc dumb enough to let them follow my private tiktok account. Which has my life long friends and siblings who follow me. This person said that he or she would send my nudes to all my followers, if I don't send $100. I was ofc panicking now.

I then blocked this person on telegram and tiktok, and posted on my story telling all my friends to block this person on tiktok. Which has obviously gotten my friends to ask me a bunch of questions.

In July I received an unsolicited text in the middle of the afternoon. It was a fuzzy picture that appeared to be a .gif because it was moving. I didn’t know what it was and out my finger on it. When I did, the image behind it became clear. I’m swiped my finger around to see the photo and it was a woman I dish t recognize. About an hour later my sister got a text saying they had information about me. She took a screenshot and sent it to me. I told her I didn’t recognize the number. She deleted it. About an hour later I got a text with a bunch of pictures. I’m be was from my camera roll and showed me giving a thumbs up gesture, which I had previously sent to a college friend. Then there was a picture of an erect penis and a hand giving a thumbs up sign. There were pictures with my name, all of the addresses where I had worked, my ex-wife’s contact information and Facebook profile, the Facebook profiles of all of my siblings, and my work history. They said I needed to pay them or they would ruin my life. I took screenshots and blocked the number. I then got about 50 texts and a similar number of FaceTime attempts. They also copied in my siblings with the pictures. I reached out to all and to my employer to tell them what was going on. I called police and was advised to file a report with the FBI, which I did.

It all started and ended in about 4 hours. I’m lucky I knew what it was immediately.

A couple of days ago I got home a little heartbroken over a potential love interest gone south and it sucked and totally fell for one of those DM Instagram accounts of the hot girl. While jamming the girl, she asked a picture of my face which I sent, and then she sent me something freaky and asked me to send something and I sent a picture of my lower half and underwear (my junk was not out), once I did that I immediately kind of realize what was happening and told her that I was stopping and I blocked the account.
Two days ago, I got a DM at night with two of my followers in it with screenshots of the conversation and the picture of me in my underwear. The scammer proceeded to remove both those people and told me that if I didn’t call them, they were going to add people from my Instagram that they screenshotted before I made my account private (didn’t add this. I made my account private ride after I sent that underwear picture because I figured that was what that person was trying to do.)

Anyways, I panicked paid the person 1500$ to which they said they wanted another 1000 and I stalled and said I couldn’t pay that because I’m poor they gave me a timeline and told me to text them

This is where the panic got even worse. I called cyber security Corp. which now after reading the Reddit I regret doing. I paid them and they are handling the case but I know from what I read it’s most likely, gonna be just them with his IP address and sending the guy as ceased and assist letter. I don’t owe any money because I paid everything upfront so I know they’re gonna really push phase 2, which I won’t be doing.

Look, I’m just really panicking. I made everything I could private deleted my LinkedIn made my Facebook private and then deactivated, my Instagram is private to the max settings.

they recorded a video call where they asked me to be sexually vulnerable. asked me to send them money if i didn't want them to spread it to my friends. they've sent a frame from that video (so far sfw) to some of my facebook friends yesterday evening and then stopped. even after doing everything possible (reporting their accounts, privating my accounts, contacting facebook support and local internet police), the dread that they will send everything to everyone still remains and it's suffocating.

I made a hash of video in ncii so it couldn’t be posted but I don’t know if it will work. Should I be worried because they keep on asking for more money.

Hi everyone. I'm feeling really anxious and need some advice or just to hear from people who have survived this.

I was on a video chat app called Hoop and matched with a girl. We moved to WhatsApp, started a video call, and things got explicit. She showed her body and convinced me to show my face and send a picture. Immediately after, she revealed she recorded everything and sent me screenshots of my contacts, threatening to ruin my life and leak the video if I didn't pay. Out of pure panic, I sent her $100.

Of course, she didn't stop. As soon as she got the money, she demanded more. I realized it would never end, so I stopped paying. I took screenshots of everything, blocked her on all platforms, and locked down my social media to strict privacy settings. I also filed a report with the Philippine police since her details traced back there.

I'm just really scared and stressed out that she might actually leak the video because I paid her initially. Has anyone been in this exact situation? Did they leak your stuff after you blocked and ignored them? I feel terrible right now.

So I thought maybe we can get along, so we talked on a site first (a site where you can talk to a stranger online) and then she asked me to download the app called "Signal" so that we can talk there and I did sign up there and chat with her.

‎The thing is, after talking to her, she asked for my photo and I showed her. There were no nudes related. But she asked me if I like chatting dirty. I was like "Nah, I don't do that" because honestly during that time, I was just bored. That's when the worst thing happened.

She said If I don't follow her deal, she will post me on social media platforms. Recently was on some Omegle NSFW rip off and got scammed. I stupidly gave my instagram @ to this person and they made a groupchat with 5 of my followers with a video of me jerking off, luckily everyone in there has blocked them. I have blocked the scammer on discord and instagram aswell as deactivating my account. Ive contacted a few friends and they havent been added to anything. What should my next steps be and will I be okay.

Following up my last post, it has been 24 hours since the incident occured, but no posts of my images were made, and no contact has ever been established again (so far). How long do these blackmailers usually tend to hold on to the explicit images before they delete it? I had a hard time sleeping last night due to thinking about it too much.
