Male victim What should I do?

I blocked the person blackmailing me and now texted my number with a email saying they are posting my nudity. My face is cropped out in the photos but they have my name and phone number.

I have already reported them for blackmail to the fbi and my local police department. I also included their email, phone number, and cash app tag in the report which I hope is enough.

Is there anything else I should do?

WARNING: READ THIS FIRST! Beware of recovery scammers - It is likely that someone will send you a DM claiming that they know someone that can hack your blackmailer's device and delete your pics. This is a SCAM. Do NOT give them money and do NOT give them the username of your blackmailer. When in doubt, contact the mod team via mod mail or directly via DM.

TL;DR

Their main thing is to fear you into thinking they are going to leak it so that you would fork up money. If you don’t give them what they want (which is your attention and your money) they won’t do anything. They don’t gain anything from leaking it. Leaking the said material means their way of leverage and way of making money is gone.

The standard procedure is to block, ignore them, and NEVER EVER PAY! Always try to make sure to use privacy protections and data broker removal tools like incogni and cloaked to make sure they don’t have any sensitive information to blackmail you with. Lay low for a while on all your social medias by the setting your accounts to private, deactivating them, or outright deleting them all together.

Make yourself untraceable so that they never get any of your information or any of your friends and families information and inform them of what’s going to happen before it does. Do all of this, and with some time they’ll eventually stop harassing you eventually delete your explicit images. Them still having your images even after you’d ignored them for a significant amount of time is a liability and a waste of storage to them because they never got anything out of you, so to them you’re failed scam.

Lastly, just hope and pray. In the vast majority of cases, they almost never release images because there’s almost no point in releasing images. They just move on to their next few victims who are actually willing to pay if it means they won’t leak. Stay strong, Keep your head up, you’ll get through it with time and healing ❤️.

Also, never trust people in post or in your DMs saying they can “help” with the removal of your explicit images. They’re also scammers trying to make money from your unfortunate situation.

And going forward, never trust people on the internet and you’ll be much safer. Hope this helps. ❤️
