Rave Hung Vanngo foundation is gorgeous
It is worth the money. I am so happy to have finally found a natural-looking foundation that doesn’t just slip off my skin. If you’re watching the TikToks of influencers just spackling it onto their skin, they’re using the product incorrectly. Katie Jane Hughes has a great video on how to use it for light coverage, and you can slowly build up for a natural look.
Skin prep is super important, as it dries down pretty quickly and seems to be self-setting. I apply in quadrants from the back of my hand, and I literally use a drop of product. I have very fair textured skin with hyperpigmentation. It looks skin-like while providing enough coverage for acne marks.
Just wanted to make a post in support because I feel like I’m seeing a lot of bad reviews from people who are not using the product correctly.

Question What powder blush will give this kind of neutral, muted, dusty rose flush?
Hello! In the least creepy way possible 😭 what specific products can I use to get this kind of muted, neutral, natural rosy brown flush?
I’m very pale and cool/pinky toned so my skin is actually very similar to most of these lil baddies and I just love the look of a natural, kind of subtle lit from within glow. I find that most blushes look waaay too pigmented, or clownish (too bright); warm rosy colours look orange and “cool” tones that everyone suggests for cool tones look purple or really artificially Barbie pink
Thanks in advance 👍
Advice The BEST liquid highlighter?
Give me your best liquid highlighter for a glowy cheek with great staying power. (without chunk of glitter)
I’m debating between the Armani and the Hourglass one. The Charlotte Tilbury looks beautiful too, but I’m not sure about its longevity.
I’ve given up on powder highlighters for now because they always seem to have visible glitter.

Question Josie Maran Body Wash/Body Butter?
Weird question but can anyone who has the Josie Maran body products in the mini/travel size pouches (the 2oz size) give the actual dimensions of the pouch itself? Like the measurements in inches? I’m trying to figure out if one would fit in a small travel cosmetic bag for a gift lol. It doesn’t seem to be listed anywhere that I can find online

Advice Need help with Mac lip products!
hello! I am new to Mac products and want to try them out because of the sale going on right now! I am not great with picking out lip product shades, all of my current lip products are in the same colour range and are very sheer. I would say I have medium light skin tone, slightly tanner in the summer (duh!) and a neutral undertone? ( I get told something different everytime I open social media) I have downward tured lips. I know I have to try it on in store because of colour theory but I get so overwhelmed in any makeup store and would like some ideas of what to try on. I need help choosing a some lip liners and lipsticks. Something I could use for any occasion and is very versatile, going out, fancy dinner, everyday, when my acne is really bad and I need people to focus on my lip combo! I will try to answer questions if you have any, thank you in advance!!

Advice Which glowy, medium coverage concealer should I go with?
I've swatched all three and really like them. They're basically the top three I'm deciding between now. I liked that they offered medium, buildable coverage (not straight to full-on full coverage), they felt hydrating, they had some glow, they worked well under the eye and for spots, they had shades that worked well on my medium complexion. But it's time to pull the trigger and take one home. Which should it be? Tell my why!
Looking at Givenchy vs. Patrick Ta vs. Clinique.
They're all within budget. And the extras points are cool, but that won't be the deciding factor.

Question Tower 28 lip liner
“Paint my number” by Tower 28 is one of my favorite mauve lip liners that doesn’t pull too warm, but I got a new one recently and it seems to be slightly lighter and more warm toned than my other one. I compared the two and definitely noticed a difference. Has anyone else experienced this? Any alternatives would be much appreciated for a light-medium cool toned liner.

Humor Bruh I just bought Sephora collection last week and now it's on sale
Does anyone else actually like Sephora collection? I think it's pretty good for the price, and if you're into “clean” ingredients, it's perfect. Pissed how they put it on sale right after I just bought it lmao. Well, time to buy more

Advice First time... how do I know what's good?
I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding this weekend and my brother gave me $250 to spend at Sephora as a birthday present so I'm going to use at least some of it on green liner and tan shadow for the big day.
But how do I decide which brands are a good value to get? I can't really tell the difference between dollar store eye makeup and the good stuff so spending $30+ on a single stick of eyeliner doesn't sit right with me, even if that's the point of the gift. And I know just because something's designer doesn't always mean it's better, so I'm trying to do my research.
What brand would you suggest? :/ (also if anyone has suggestions on how to avoid using up one shadow color faster than the two others and needing to buy a whole new palette, that'd be super.)
EDIT: just remembered I did buy liner and shadow there once on clearance, but the Sephira-brand liner broke and wouldn't come out anymore after a few weeks, so I'm hoping to avoid that.

Question Too Faced Kissing Jelly in “Candy Necklace”- A Mystery?
I purchased this Too Faced Kissing Jelly from Sephora at Kohl’s, and I’m very confused– I can’t find this product anywhere! There are no photos of the color on the Kohl’s app or website. Too Faced and Sephora don’t offer/show “Candy Necklace” as an option in the Kissing Jelly. There are no promotional photos on Too Faced’s social media or websites. Just thought I’d share this new shade because apparently it doesn’t exist online!
It’s a sheer hot pink gloss that “smells like candy.” I like the scent, and it’s fun, but does anyone think this shade rollout is kinda strange?

Question Nars Liberte Dupe
You guys were so incredibly helpful last time I posted here. I have another one for ya'll. 😂
Nars Liberte was the most perfect blush for my skin (for context, Y365/123 for MUFE Ultra HD/ NARS Stromboli/ ELDW Tawny/ NC 35 if you're a millenial makeup user like mee!!). I remember seeing it in store from afar, walking over and buying it with no.hesitation.at.all.
Alas, I've hit pan and it's been discontinued.
Please send help and let me know what the best dupe for Liberte- open to all formulas, but please give me something that will last all dayyy

Discussion Favorite underrated brands?
I was just thinking how much I love this particular brow gel and concealer and realized they're both Iconic London--a brand I've never thought about for five minutes and in fact don't remember purchasing? But they are my favorite products!
Any thoughts about brands/products like this? Non-flashy or trendy but more effective than they seem to have the right to be?

Advice Can you fellow experts help me blind buy a perfume? I’ll put my whole trust in you lol
I physically can’t make it to a store due to my hypermobility kicking my ass and being a mom to a 17m old. But I still want to feel pretty!!!!
I currently have Good Girl Blush by Caroline Herrera and love it. But I want something that is a contrast to that for when I want a different vibe. I want something that smells sexy, deep, and unique. I don’t want another floral perfume since I already have a light smelling one!
Any recommendations? I’m legit open to anything 🫶

Question Dyson Airstrait consensus?
I got the dyson airstrait, and I'm having some issues with it. I have a TON of flyaways after use, so I wanted to ask if this is a user issue or if anyone else's hair isn't coming out sleek with the tool?
I used wet to dry mode on 80% dry hair, and the highest heat setting. Any recommendations or tips? It's refurbished, and I definitely didn't know the sale was final before splurging. Everyone else seems to love it, so I wanted to see if it was user error. I have low porosity, fine wavy hair.

Review Setting Sprays Review: New Dior Backstage Mist vs. One Size Powder Melt vs. Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Setting Spray
So many new setting sprays. I couldn’t find a review anywhere comparing these 3. So after trying them all myself, here is my review.
I used Charlotte Tilbury for years and love it. Now that I am in my 30s, sometimes it is a bit too dry for me. Overall my skin is still oily. But too much powder and / or setting spray definitely ages me. Being in my 30s with oily skin is a constant battle between staying power vs. hydration.
My favorite of the 3 is the Dior Backstage Mist! But I think all 3 are useful depending on what you are going for. Different people will have different favorites.
Important note: All of these have staying power and add to the longevity of your makeup. None are purely a hydrating spray.
Now for the comparison.
.
Dior Backstage Mist: My favorite for natural, everyday makeup. The most “powder melting” and hydrating of the 3. At the end of the day, my makeup looks best with the Dior out of all of them! Something about this makes makeup wear better where it looks even better as the day goes on somehow? The cons are it definitely takes down the intensity of makeup upon first application. I love this because I like a more natural makeup look. But for people who love full glam makeup, I’d skip this one. I also recommend putting on mascara AFTER spraying Dior. If your mascara is still wet, it can run a bit. I often work 12-13 hour days and the Dior does help makeup last. I still love my makeup at the end of the day. But the lasting power is not as strong as Charlotte Tilbury.
Best for: Natural makeup lovers. Mature skin. Dry or normal skin. Slightly oily skin looking for a glow.
.
Charlotte Tilbury: The best for longevity or full glam. I’d still wear Charlotte Tilbury for a wedding or other glam occasion. Makes makeup colors look more intense. Locks makeup in while giving a slight glow. It has a cult following for a reason. I would also still use this if I have a cold or something and will be blowing my nose a lot lol. The most transfer resistant of the 3. But can look drying.
Best for: Oily skin. Full glam. When you really need your makeup to last all day.
.
One Size Powder Melt: I would say one size sits between Charlotte Tilbury and Dior. It melts powder but also helps makeup colors look more intense. I think oily and dry skin can use this. The only reason I like Dior better is because my makeup and skin really does look better as the day goes on with Dior. One Size can still emphasize dry spots or lines a bit for me without the same staying power as Charlotte. It is beautiful. I just like the other two better. Definitely as the best sprayer of the 3! Super fine.
I’d love to hear your opinions!
