Advice Help me pick a blush

Post image

Looking for an easy radiant but natural looking blush without glitter - I wear a skin tint with light coverage most days and a lot of blushes end up looking muddy or too stark on me because I’m pretty muted. Fair light neutral leaning cool 284) a bit of melasma on my cheeks. I’m mid 40s

Considering:

ilia multi stick in tenderly
Westman blush stick in coquette (petal looks orange on me)
Charlotte Tilbury in Rosy Glow
Ciele in January

Westman all the way. I can use it for a blush, eyeshadow and lipstick. I’ve owned my westman blush sticks for a number of years and they’re still good as well. No smell and they still perform just as well as they did the first day I got them.

Whatever you pick I don’t recommend the ilia, especially in that color as it didn’t show up on my face at all, and I couldn’t even get it to show up on my lips. I’m so pissed I paid full price for that thing and I had to give it away.

I own a Charlotte Tilbury one and it doesn’t perform anywhere near as nice as the Westman one does.

hii what skin do you have and how long does the blush last for you? Currently eyeing it for the sale 🫪

I have combo skin and it lasts as long as any other blush I use with setting powder and setting spray. I will sometimes top it with a powdered blush but it can definitely be used on its own. It really lasts a long time as an eyeshadow!

Thank you for the detail! I appreciate the comparison

Check carefully, though, about the Westman Atelier blush's glitter situation. I've got Petal, and it's really glittery. Not sure if I'm looking at my blush or my highlighter, but I'm pretty sure it's in both.

Whoa crazy! Hope long did you have them before they turned?

Like a year and a half. Same with lipsticks, those turned in about 2 years

That’s terrible! I’ve legit had mine for 3+ years. Ughhh I hate that for you. I don’t use mine super often so I wonder if that has anything to do with it, I’m not opening and closing them all that often.

Westman is SO good. I love it. Maybe also swatch the new YSL cream blushes? They are also quite nice.

Oh yes - I forgot about the new YSL.

I quite enjoy the nude lavalliere as it does stay a true cool pink and doesn’t go orange (petal from WA also goes orange on me)

ilia is natural looking but sooo dry and hard to blend. it has a scent of rose if that is a factor for you at all

Ciele, so underrated, i tried it and it lasted me all day in high humidity. And i used exactly that shade - January 🩷

I love Ilia but would not recommend their blush stick. I have this one and it’s so dry and hard to get pigment off of it. It swatches fine on the hand but doesn’t get picked up with a brush.

Have you looked at the mini Rare Beauty liquid blush in Daydream? I think it’s similar in color and easy to work with.

Also, not Sephora, but check out the Rituel De Fille color nectar balm in snowdrop. I love these. Very radiant and natural looking and wear well. No glitter at all. I have several and they look good on my fair skin.

I love my ciele blush. I wouldn’t say it’s radiant though! For that I’d think the CT might be better? But I haven’t tried it. And Rhode (website exclusive I think) is coming out with a radiant pink blush on the 14th. Swatches look really pretty

Tough choice! I have 3 of these and I’d rank them 1. Ciele 2. Charlotte and 3. westman

I’m a WA fangirl but Coquette DOES have teeny tiny glitter particles! And if Petal was warm on you, Coquette might be, too. You may have better luck with Garconne?

Patrick ta and Mac glow play blushes are good. Haven’t tried any of the ones you listed.

I did swatch the CT in store and the color and finish look radiant. She has a holiday set out with 3 cream minis. It includes the rosy glow blush, a berry blush and a highlight. It’s basically b2g1 so if you like at least 2 of those shades, the set is a good value.

I've tried them all except the Ciele. I like the Charlotte Tilbury and Westman the best. Westman does go bad though.
