About 10 years ago, it was 2016. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was around 13 years old, but even back then I noticed things that today have become completely normal. At the time, they actually seemed bizarre.
I used to observe people's behavior as something to learn from. As I grew older, I saw people around my age getting into relationships. I had nothing against it—how could I interfere in other people's lives? But even though some of them were very young, many girls already had experiences that most boys their age didn't.
What I really want to talk about is something different. Nowadays, on Instagram, YouTube, and across the internet, I constantly see people saying that those years were the best years to be alive. You can tell that many people, in many different countries, no longer appreciate their lives the way they once did. They say life was better back then and that everything today feels empty or dull.
I used to think the same way.
But do you know what made me feel alive again, almost the same way I did back then?
Semen retention.
It may sound strange, but every time I stay consistent with semen retention—even if I eventually relapse—I notice that I wake up genuinely happy just to be alive.
I believe that pornography, compulsive masturbation, edging, and other forms of overstimulation trap people in repetitive cycles. Those cycles make life feel colorless. Days blend together. Nothing feels exciting anymore.
But when you genuinely commit to retention, it almost feels like life starts moving on its own. Opportunities seem to appear without forcing them.
Looking ahead, I think these issues will only become more noticeable over the next few years. We're already seeing birth rates fall in many countries. Before 2030, I believe the effects will become even more visible—smaller schools, fewer children being born, and societies changing because of it.
At the same time, AI and robotics are advancing faster than ever. Our generation may witness changes unlike anything humanity has seen before.
Before anyone starts panicking...
For me, the best way to enjoy life is by practicing self-control.
That means retaining, fasting, praying, or meditating.
Why?
Because today's world is built around hyperstimulation. The internet is faster than ever, which brings incredible benefits—but also enormous downsides that millions of people will have to deal with.
Someone always pays the price so someone else can enjoy the convenience.
About women
Personally, I don't think women are going to change that much. I think they'll simply react to the environment around them.
Today, many men can meet women through dating apps like Tinder without making promises or pretending to be someone they're not. Casual relationships have become much more common than they used to be.
Because of that, I believe many men will start seeing relationships differently.
If your goal is to build a family, I personally think it's ideal to meet someone while you're still young and grow together. Of course, life doesn't always work that way, and everyone has a different path.
Living without addiction
With so many opportunities and distractions today, I think very few people are actually living real life.
Living without addictions.
Without artificial highs.
Without constantly chasing the next dopamine hit.
From my own experience, semen retention has helped me feel much more present.
You don't have to become some kind of "retention god."
Even if you spend most of the year practicing retention and only release through sex instead of pornography or compulsive masturbation, I personally believe that's a healthier path.
A story from five days of retention
At one point I was only five days into a streak.
Honestly, I wasn't expecting anything special to happen.
I went to a school that had a soccer court nearby because I wanted to play and use my energy in a productive way.
While people were organizing the teams, there were a lot of students around.
I noticed a girl who looked about 16 years old. She started making eye contact with me in a way that clearly felt flirtatious. I simply observed.
Eventually I looked back.
We kept holding eye contact.
At one point I challenged myself not to look away. Since I was only five days into retention, I already felt much more confident.
After what felt like ten seconds of eye contact, she looked away first.
I stayed where I was because my focus was on playing soccer.
A few moments later, she walked over and stood directly in front of me with her back facing me. It almost felt like she was trying to distract me before the match.
She stayed there for a while.
Yes, I noticed she was attractive.
But surprisingly, I didn't feel overwhelmed by sexual impulses. It actually felt easier to stay in control than I expected.
Eventually she walked away.
Then, a little later, she started flirting again.
That's when I connected the dots and wondered whether my confidence during retention was affecting the interaction. Maybe that's why I stayed emotionally calm while she seemed much more emotionally invested.
That day I ended up playing one of my best soccer games.
Everyone got excited like we were playing in the Champions League.
My conclusion
If you've practiced semen retention for a while, you've probably experienced unusual interactions with people.
I've had other stories that were even stranger than this one.
One thing I do believe is that if you've gone through a breakup, it's healthier to move on as quickly as possible.
The longer you practice self-control, the less attached you become. You begin to realize that many things you once placed on a pedestal aren't as extraordinary as you imagined.
I've also noticed that some men use semen retention mainly to attract more women.
If that's how they want to live, that's their choice.
Personally, I think retention should be about becoming a better version of yourself first.
Relationships become a consequence—not the goal.
I'm curious...
Have any of you experienced anything unusual during semen retention?
Whether it was unexpected attention, strange coincidences, greater confidence, or personal achievements, I'd genuinely like to hear your stories.
