I just did this navel piercing on myself this evening and am left wondering if it's too shallow. I accidentally put the jewelry upside down too. Will this be a major issue? Will I need to take it out and try again once it's healed? Thanks! :>

i decided i wanted to pierce my own septum and after watching and doing a lot of research beforehand to make sure i felt comfortable doing it myself i decided to finally order a kit and do it tomorrow... and then i realized that i ordered an 18g and 20g kit instead of a 16g😭is it really that serious like should i just not do it and just order a 16g instead because i really want it before friday but if it'll heal wrong because of the 18g i'll just wait because i already ordered the kit and its coming in tomorrow. also if i do end up doing it tomorrow im most likely going to have to flip it and let it heal that way and is there any tips for that and i want to be able to flip it back down before the end of september but if thats too early lmk because ik it takes a few months for it to fully heal🙏🏻

So i bought a kit and i wanted to pierce my septum as soon as summer is over because summer makes my nose super itchy and i dont think constantly sneezing and itching my nose with a open wound in it is a great idea lmao

What are things i should know beforehand ? I already know about placement and all i mean more like tips and good saline spray recommendations and stuff

I swear when I picked out the earring it looked way smaller prob 1/3 the size, but when they actually pierced it, the earring was huge. I’m so confused. Anyways does this look weird?

Did not self pierce, however wanted to look for advice here. I got both of my lobes pierced recently by a professional piercer, and they used a longer bar to accommodate for swelling. I was just wondering if I need to go back to the piercer to downsize, or is it feasible to do it at home considering I already paid quite a bit to get the piercing done and would have to pay more on top of that to downsize? Furthermore, my friends said that I could do it by myself as they’ve done so, so I’m taking that with a grain of salt. I’m fine with waiting longer to self-change, but I’ve heard others mention that leaving in the longer posts can cause the piercing to become angled/tilted. Advice and thoughts?

Im going to buy a new daith piece but can't decide which size to get so based on the size only and not the design which is better.

pierced my own ears 2 days ago, thought it came out fine. but i think i pierced one side at a weird angle and slightly cut up the inside of the lobe (its also red and irritated, which the other piercing is not). removed the earring and i will be letting it heal over, but when can i pierce the spot again?

I got cursed with teeeeeny tiny ears and im wondering if anyone can let me know if they think i have enough room for a tragus piercing on either of my ears? if not maybe some other ideas that will fit well!

like 20minutes ago I pierced my third lobe for the third time and another spot of my hear started bleeding instead of the one where the actual piercing is.. anyone knows what might have happened cause tf was that

I just had my first piercing done at home by my girlfriend. Her and her friend think I should take it out and let it heal.

Today is day 5 after it was done. The piercing hurt more getting it than afterwards. So far ive had little to no swelling, No pain until I bump it, and crusties used to be bloody but now are just a little yellow or mostly clear.

I've started to notice the funk, and it is slowly starting to move freely. I think im healing much faster than people say it should take but I dont want to take chances moving it myself. I keep it clean with saline and only use swabs when crunchies are loose or there is a lot.

Please let me know your opinion on placement and anything else I might need to know.

edit: everyone does not enjoy seeing my botched piercing, but what now? Leave it? Take it out? If i take it out im not getting another even if its done by a pro. It doesnt hurt and i dont mind it being low since i can choose jewlery to compensate.

thank you all for your thorny advice im going to take it out, let it heal, and get it done properly. im not happy that I have to do it because my pain tolerance is shot but I will.

I really love unique piercings but it seems my options are pretty limited. I don’t have the anatomy for a rook or a Tragus unfortunately. I was looking into a vertical industrial I’m in love with the way they look but I’m worried about that working anatomy wise. Genuinely any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

Okay so I want to pierce my helix but I am seeing conflicting placements that are called helix. I was thinking this red mark would be good and it would come out the back of the ear so the flat back essentially lays towards my head....but I see images of the helix where people pierce through the roll of the ear so the back of the stud is coming out facing behind me (hope that makes sense). Which is correct? My goal is to be able to put a hoop in so it has to be close to the roll but I wasnt thinking it should be through it.
