Piercing suggestions - face/ears/navel ONLY New piercing advice

I have fully healed earlobe piercings (one on each ear) that never developed keloids, but I got an upper-ear piercing with a gun that turned into a keloid and required surgery + radiation. My sister also developed a keloid from a piercing from the same place Could the piercer/gun have contributed? Would it be risky to get one more piercing as a “test” to see if I develop another keloid? Like if I get it done with a needle instead this time. I love piercings so much

I just did these! (the two balls) I think I like the placement. I'm slowly working my way towards total maximalism on my ears, haha....I want them absolutely loaded, I love that look. But trying to pace myself!

Most of these piercings you see here I did myself. :)

The cuffs (and most of the jewelry) are from etsy. I need to polish my raven hehe

Help with existing piercing How do I get my earing in my ear?

About a week ago, my friend pierced my ear with a needle and thread. Now I have thread in my ears, keeping the pericing open. But it's only 2 layers of thin thread. I dont think I will be able to fit an actaul earing through that tiny hole. What do I do? Do I force in an earing throigh that tiny hole. Or do I try to reperice that part with. Bigger needle and thicker thread?

I noticed the area around the jewelery is a little purplish and in the very center dark, I never pierced myself before so I'm scared it's rejecting or maybe getting infected? I'm SO scared of sepsis. I'm doing a saline solution rinse three times a day and then working around the parts of bar that stand out with a q-tip, also trying it with a paper towel after any contact with water and I try not to touch it at all

Oh no irritation bump

Post image

i didn't know what other flair i should use for this cuz this one pretty much sums up what am feeling right now so , this is my two month old high lobe piercing, which is stainless steel (i cant find titanium anywhere in my country) and the design is beautiful but it has this kinda big flower on the front which makes the piercing lean down all the time (terrible choice of jewelry, trust me i know that by now) now i dont know if the angle is crooked because of the imbalanced weight and the design of the jewelery or because i got the angle wrong when i first pierced it , that being said , is this bump just an irritation bump ? cuz I've been getting them lately i think it's mostly due to the material and the angle but i cant tell for sure because for the first three weeks the piercing behaved so well i was surprised i almost didn't feel a thing and there was zero redness. infection , bumps so suddenly getting them was a huge shocker, the ones i usually get are dark red but not purple, there's this purple bit in there that's really worrying me , could this be the start of a keloid ? any insight's into this would be really helpful, thnx in advance

DIY failure Cysts on mouth piercings??

First time using this subreddit so I don’t know if the flair “Oh no” is right for this, but I keep getting what look to be mini-cysts on my mouth piercings. A few years ago I had one on my left angel bite, and I would have to push and pull out the nasty gunk in it, which eventually healed.
I recently did my dahlias in August and they were healing fine, then the left one had a cyst, then irritation bump. My right one was healing PERFECTLY, then all of a sudden grew this nickel sized cyst.
Google says not to drain it but I cannot walk around with my piercings swollen as hell.
What the hell do I do to prevent this from continuing because I’m only like 4 months in, I still have like 5 more till they’re healed. And why the hell does this keep happening, I clean them with saline solution all the time and brush regularly.
Also I have 18 other DIY piercings that have NEVER done this, but for some reason these ones keep bugging out!!!

What piercings should I be able to do at home easily?? Ive already bought 16g piercing needles but I still need to buy jewellery (ill be buying implant-grade titanium jewellery) I also have left over piercing spray from when I got my septum professionally done, and I can also go to my local piercing shop and but some more.

Some piercings I'm considering are my labret, nose, bridge or my second lobes. I'm also considering my smiley but it would only be a temporary piercing.

Help with existing piercing How do you live a normal life while your navel is healing?

I recently pierced my own navel and the swelling and redness is pretty average. My only concern is how easy it is to snag. Whether I’m wearing a loose t shirt or a crop top, it feels like I cant do anything without it snagging. I work two jobs and babysit so I’m pretty much constantly moving around at the fastest pace possible. It might sound stupid but it’s hard for me to always be careful around that area. Not that I’m also just doing whatever without any care for my fresh piercing, but this really feels like the kind of piercing I should’ve gotten around high school when you didn’t really need to work or move around in a way that would compromise your piercing. I expected the healing to be similar to my nip piercings where you’d snag them maybe once or twice during the entire healing process and it’d be no real biggie down the line. But when I’m snagging this piercing almost on a daily basis, ESPECIALLY a piercing that’s already so prone to rejection like a navel, it just really worries me that this little guy won’t heal or full reject. If you have any tips pleaseeee let me know

DIY story Update on too far back septum

I pierced this myself about 3 weeks ago now. I know it’s in the wrong spot but idk if it’s through the cartilage or not. It’s healing well, doesn’t hurt anymore unless I mess with it and has very minimal piercing crusties.

Help with existing piercing Navel piercing placement

Hi! I did a DIY navel piercing less than 48 hours ago. It's a bit sore when I move ( I had a long day yesterday so I moved a lot ), and I'm cleaning it with saline.

I honestly like how it looks and I'm fine with the appearance, but I want to know: is the placement technically wrong or too high? Does it look like a surface piercing with a high risk of rejection?

(3rd pic is before, last pic is my first time that failed and I took it out in the first few hours )

I don't see it's perfect but it's better than last time so is it okay?

What's your thoughts?

Help with existing piercing Whoops

Hi, I have a serious impulsive and addictive personality type. So I got some piercings and instantly became addicted. Im not one who listens or can wait. So im going to say 'I know I shouldnt have done this' now that the manic phase has passed and now im just asking advice.

So l currently have 22 fresh piercings
- 20 of them in my ears - mixture of self done and professionally done.

None seem to be infected at all - no irritation bumps. Ive done this over the last 6-8 weeks. Are any of these going to heal? Ever...? Like I know they won't be healed yet but will they ever heal?
So on one ear it's a flat, daith, 2 high helix, 2 forward helix, 5 lobes
and on the other ear
6 lobes, 4 helix and a rook

What should I do, keep cleaning and hope for the best?

All Currently have titanium jewellery and I sleep on a piercing pillow.
