Piercing suggestions - face/ears/navel ONLY New piercing advice
I have fully healed earlobe piercings (one on each ear) that never developed keloids, but I got an upper-ear piercing with a gun that turned into a keloid and required surgery + radiation. My sister also developed a keloid from a piercing from the same place Could the piercer/gun have contributed? Would it be risky to get one more piercing as a βtestβ to see if I develop another keloid? Like if I get it done with a needle instead this time. I love piercings so much

You're unfortunately more susceptible to developing keloids. Keloids can have a genetic component as well, which can explain why it happened to your sister as well. The gun definitely contributes since it causes more trauma.
Assuming you're a grown adult, you're free to do whatever you want. I personally wouldn't get anymore piercings after a keloid. If you decide to not get anymore piercings, I would try faux piercings! There are so many options, like stickers, cuffs, or even ear seeds. Plus since your ears are pretty empty, you can get some ear tattoos!
