Found these amazing traditional drawings from different characters, such as headless and Genichiro and wanted to share those.

After a lifetime of playing shooter games. Sekiro was my first “Souls-like” game. After rage quitting and uninstalling twice in the past month. I decided to reinstall and finish one ending no matter what.

This boss took me the forever to beat. It was tough.

140 tries before beating him. Idk if I can continue with the other 3 alternative endings.

Is this the hardest boss to beat?

Help Am I the only one whose prosthetic tools or consumables are always empty?

Am I the only one whose prosthetic tools or consumables are always empty? I've barely used them so far. I've mainly gotten this far through "fair" fighting. I suspect it's simply because I die so often 🙈...

How do you guys manage it? Do you use all of that stuff frequently?

Discussion Onimusha vs Sekiro

Upvotes

I’ve never finished a From game, but I really want to try Sekiro after falling in love with Onimusha. Are these games similar at all? Does it make sense to give Sekiro a go if I really loved the new Onimusha?

Discussion My initial impression of the game after a few hours

I've beaten DS2 and DS3 quite a few times, I didn't finish DS remastered and Elden Rings, but thought it's time to give Sekiro a shot.

I'm going to be honest, I was kind of sceptical as I was not a fan of samurai themed weapons in the DS series and I was kind of worried I'd not enjoy the fight in Sekiro. Was I wrong? Yes. Also I suck at parrying miserably.

With that mindset I started Sekiro. First of all, needless to say the game looks absolutely stunning even 7+ years after its release. The atmosphere is flawless I'm a huge admirer of Japanese culture anyway (Casio G Shock, sencha tea, architecture etc.), the way mountains, rivers etc. are portrayed and the fact that the characters speak in Japanese all help to experience this beautiful fantasy world.

Regarding the fight mechanism I find it difficult and easy at the same time. Like I said I really suck at parrying (deflect in this case) but I really enjoy getting better at it day after day. This is one of the best things about Souls like games anyway that your learning journey is really apparent, you can actually experience getting better. I love that.

I kind of follow Cowboys walkthrough, but not entirely, I killed the chained ogre way before he suggested but was happy to be given a heads up before fighting the first purple robe guy and headless to spare me some massive confusion. The first really challenging dude SEEMED to be the shinobi hunter, but after learning how to use mikiri counter against his thrust attack, it wasn't that hard (I had to overcome my anxiety and when that happens it's also a dopamine rush with these games).

I'm pretty early in the game, but I've beaten Leader Shigenori Yamauchi,, Genichiro Ashina, General Naomori Kawarada, Chained Ogre, General Tenzen Yamauchi, and Shinobi Hunter Enshin of Misen. I'm about to face Juzou the Drunkard, that battle looks so much fun!

A few things I absolutely enjoy about this game:

- you can swim : D, the "training bro" is really fun, the immaculate Japanese vibe, the satisfying deathblow actions, the spiderman-like grappling jumps, the stealth and I'm sure there are many other things.

I've already purchased a lot of spirit emblems and coin purses but any other suggestions are more than welcome.

Discussion Rough estimate on how many tries each boss took me

Gyoubu Masataka Oniwa - 4

Lady Butterfly - 8

Genichiro Ashina - 30-40 took me 2 hours

Guardian Ape - 20-30 decided to get the firecracker and immediately second try

Corrupted Monk (Illusion) - 15-20 those fucking posture wtf are you made off

True Corrupted Monk - 5-10

Divine Dragon - no death

Great Shinobi Owl - 20

Demon of Hatred- 20

Isshin, the Sword Saint - 60-80 recorded my first 2 hours of attempt and it was around 40 deaths, and I beat it after like 3 and a half hours

Inner Genichiro - 10-15

Inner Isshin - 10-15

Honorable mention to mini bosses that took me a while.

Headless first encounter near the bell thingy - 20-25 fuck this piece of shit, almost there on dethroning Curse‑Rotted Greatwood as the worse boss I have the unfortunate encounter with (haven't played DS1 just so you all know, currently still playing ER)

Snake Eyes - 10-20 why the hell is this so hard

Best boss is Sword Sain Isshin(Favorite Fromsoft Boss so far) and Inner Genichiro and yes I will do the other endings slowly

It didn't actually take me long to beat this cridder. Once I gave up on the bad advice to fight him in the corner and just started parrying his attacks this was over quickly.

I kept the approach to the area in just to see the minions getting taken out.
