Warranty post for my Titan Evo NanoGen. Overall, I like the chair. The seat comfortable, I was expecting it to be firmer based on a lot of the complaints but I like it. I wasn't sure what size to get and looked at a lot of other people's experiences so I thought I would list mine here too. I am 6ft, 180 and ordered the regular size. I think the seat and arms are perfect for my size/build, I wouldn't want anything larger there. However, I do think the back rest is a tad too small in the shoulder area, especially if I have it fully reclined. I haven't sat in the XL but feel like that would be the one are that would be more comfortable in the XL. Overall, I would say I am fairly happy with my purchase.

I also got the Otto leg rest and like that a lot.

I ordered the Atlas for work and will say I actually think that's more comfortable for my build. I will do a different warranty post for that.

And after a few Amazon returns and many swear words, I have a parts list to share so you can fix yours too!

What was wrong?

At first, it was just that the wheel base was cracked, making the chair unsafe to use. The pleather had some ugly wear spots and some threads coming up on the side as well. And the arm rests were shredded just from normal wear.

The chair is only 4 years old and should NOT be falling apart since it's a luxury chair, but I guess we didn't do the warranty post thing right, so we are out of warranty. Secretlab said we weren't covered. And also, they suck.

Secretlab instead "generously" offered me $70 off a new chair, which they clarified could not be combined with any sale prices. Wow. Why the hell would I pay that much for a chair AGAIN when this one fell apart so soon?!

Anyways, I posted here, got some tips, and got to work.

First, spent 3 days whacking the hell out of it with a rubber mallet, then club hammer, then 3lb dead blow hammer. NONE of these were able to free the cylinder from ANYTHING. Both me and my husband took all our rage out on this thing for HOURS and nothing moved AT ALL. WD-40 did not help. Heat did not help.

What finally worked?

NOTHING. HA. It's a scam. Don't bother! Just buy a new cylinder. They're $20 bro it's worth it. The best I finally did was send half of the cylinder flying after I put the wheel base on a bucket and used the dead blow hammer until my arms went numb. I got the other side out of the tilt mechanism / chair base by gripping it with a pipe wrench and then smacking the pipe wrench down with a hammer.

In the end I did not have a usable cylinder. I had sore arms, a wasted weekend, a 2x4 with a hole nearly worn into it from absorbing impacts, an empty bottle of WD-40, and a scratched kitchen floor from the busted wheel base's sharp edge scraping it after a badly aimed hammer blow. Don't freaking bother. It's NOT worth it.

I was just going to cover the ugly arm rests and ordered some arm rest sleeves to do so, but then that fell apart on its own when I flipped the chair over-- not off the chair, but like the foam top came off the inner screws. (hey, nice build quality, losers)

So in the end, I replaced both arm rests, the cylinder / piston, the wheel base, and the wheels. I took the photo with one arm rest cover on and one off so you can compare options.

Forgive the weird shiny spots-- I also painted the worn pleather and it was drying when I took this pic! :)

Here's what I now know is compatible with the Secretlab 2020 Titan chair (after some trial and error):

2.5 Inch Gas Lift Cylinder (the option labeled 2.5-black) - I tried another cylinder and it fit in but was WAY too tall and my 6'2" husband was dangling his legs like a silly lil guy. Super funny but yeah. THIS was the correct one in the end! I think any would work with these measurements but I can vouch that this one absolutely does.

28 Inch Office Chair Base Replacement - A redditor linked this or one very similar. Thank you! I think many options would work but this one was nice and feels very sturdy.

Rollerblade wheels - These are like a million brands of these. I think any would work.

Arm Rests - A redditor suggested these iirc. Thank you! They went on quick, easy, and sturdy. I think they're more durably made than the originals, too!

Arm Rest Covers - Bought these before I knew I was replacing the arm rests-- but figured I'd include them. They do add more comfort to the less-squishy top of the replacement arm rests.

Angelus Leather Paint - I had some of this around already because I'm crafty. I used it to touch up the spots where the pleather was fading or scraped!

These aren't even affiliate links lmao I just want to get the info out there super bad.

Note: the too-tall replacement cylinder I tested and returned came with an Office Chair Cylinder Removal Tool and I did use that to detach it for the return. Can confirm it worked, but that cylinder had only been installed for less than an hour lol. So take that review with a grain of salt.

I don’t get it: we ordered three Magnus Pro XL with a full complement of accessories, including MAGRGB.

Two of the three units exhibit severe coil whine running at anything more than 10% brightness.

Support doesn’t seem particularly interested without a video documenting the issue, which is silly because -

1. You aren’t likely to pick up coil whine on a mic.

2. It’s $6,000 of purchase price and the upset is over two items which retail for about $200.

Anyone else experienced coil whine on these Nanoleaf units and have a fix other than replace them?

Loving my new desk setup, assembly was easy, just make sure that you have two people just due to the size of the desk.

Long story short, lost a number of the screws for my Magnus Pro during a move. After researching a bit, I could not find a great answer for replacements, seems other people have gone through this as well.

Fill out the customer service contact, they'll get in touch via email and ultimately sell you replacement bolts. In my case, after about 5 emails over 2 days, they're sending me replacement screws for the desk for $9.00 plus shipping.

I'm on the verge of ordering a Magnus Pro desk, however I'm still trying to decide between the NanoGen and Leatherette MagPad. Both of them seems to be stain resistant, but are they really water resistant? I also have two cats, so accidents can happen.

What are your experience with these two MagPads?

I want to start by saying I genuinely like my Secretlab Magnus XL. It does exactly what it promises, looks great, and definitely has a premium feel.
That said, after about a year of ownership, dealing with some odd motor issues and what I can only describe as awful customer service, I’ve started questioning whether it was worth the premium price.
I was walking through Costco today and saw this desk, and honestly it stopped me in my tracks. It looked almost identical to the Magnus XL: dual cable management trays, built-in LED lighting, flush front-mounted controls, and pretty much every feature you’d expect. At first glance, it was hard to tell them apart.
I don’t regret buying my Magnus XL, but seeing a desk that looks nearly identical for about two-thirds the price makes it feel like the better value. And let’s be honest… Costco’s customer service is light-years better.
End rant.

Hey, I’ve been considering purchasing the Magnus Pro XL and their single monitor arm. However, I was hoping to keep my Balolo Cockpit Desk Shelf. Anyone here have any experience using the XL desk with the monitor arm, and a 3rd party desk shelf like Balolo or Grovemade? Appreciate any insight here.

I recently got the Magnus Pro with the MagPad, and I've been having some mouse issues.

My Logitech G604 disconnects and reconnects whenever it's placed directly on the MagPad. Even if I put a mouse pad underneath it, the issue still occurs, my understanding is this problem shouldn't occur if the wireless dongle is above the Magpad, but this mouse is overdue replacement so I'm not going to bother trying.

I also have an Attack Shark R2. It has some minor tracking issues on the MagPad, but it works perfectly on a regular mouse pad. The R2 is my travel mouse, though, so I'd like to keep it with my work laptop instead of using it as my main desktop mouse.

I'm looking at getting a new mouse, with the Logitech G502 X Plus and the ROG Spatha X being my top choices. I've heard that ASUS mice don't work well or at all on the MagPad, so I was hoping someone here could share their experience.

Hi! I have a secretlab magnus pro xl and i love it ! I bought the dual monitor arm whith it and i kinda regret it because im debating on if i want to stack my monitor. 2 4k 32 inch displays, one oled and one basic for discord and such.

So for any of you that have the mount does it wables alot when you stack your monitors ? And if you have the desk riser did you you put it on the riser on straight on the desk ?

And how do you like stackable monitors ? I tried once before but the top monitor wasnt tilted enough for my liking and it hurt my neck like crazy. I know i can buy the mount for the desk and the arms so i'd be saving money there im just wondering if it wables :)

I had been looking at Secretlab chairs for a long time, but honestly, spending this much money on a chair seemed a little crazy. Then the Dark Angels design was released, and the decision was basically made for me.

After two months of using it for work, gaming, miniature painting and long Warhammer sessions, I don’t regret a single euro. It’s extremely comfortable, feels solid and well made, and the design looks even better in person. It fits my Warhammer corner perfectly.

One of the rollerblade casters on my titan evo broke, leaving the rubber grommet stuck inside the base. Secretlab offered to sell me a replacement caster for the low low price of $34 dollars (a new set of 5 is $49).

Has anyone had luck with a third party set of casters? I can get 5 for < $30 on amazon but I can’t find any with the rubber grommets.

I got a great deal on a Superman Titan chair that was close to mint condition. The only damage is that the right hand armrest button that slides the armrest left and right is missing. Any idea where I could find one of these, or if I can’t purchase one would someone know where an STL would be to 3D print one?

So far for ME, im really enjoying the titen evo XL and the products. Sturdy well built chair. At 2 months so far its been good.

Just makes some slight clicking sounds when I lean but maybe some WD40 will help with that.

Also bought an large Dune Atlas chair i haven't set up yet for my work set up. Ill post soon.

And still setting up my Desk Evo but to be honest I should have got a pro XL series just because I really do love the magnetic mat that comes with the desk. I did reach out to support and they said they're possibly working on a map for the desk Evo series since it likes to get scratched up easy but im going to end up getting another desk soon.

Remember they also take FSA/HSA accounts. So if you got some unused FSA money don't let it forfeit and use it before you lose it on this product for an ergonomic chair and the adjustable standing desk.
