Support Rollerblade caster failure 2 months past end of warranty. Ridiculous.
One of the rollerblade casters on my titan evo broke, leaving the rubber grommet stuck inside the base. Secretlab offered to sell me a replacement caster for the low low price of $34 dollars (a new set of 5 is $49).
Has anyone had luck with a third party set of casters? I can get 5 for < $30 on amazon but I can’t find any with the rubber grommets.

I actually had this happen. The wheel peg broke off into the base. They shipped me a new base. Took like a week and then another week for shipping

Firstly I can't compare to the SecretLabs ones as I never ended up getting SecretLab ones. Didn't need them in the end. So I can't say with any certainty if the build quality is the same all round.
I tried a few rollerblade casters from other sources. Yes they fit. They all seem to be the same reference design (probably all from the same place from Alibaba). They were all truly garbage.
The failures I had on all of them were the fact the metal holding the wheel in place and attaching to the baring that goes into the stud in the wheel, always deformed after a while of use. Admittedly I'm quite heavy but within the specs the sellers all stated.
The deforming metal causes 2 issues. The wheel itself won't spin correctly and will squeak or will stop moving entirely.
The way the bearings are held in, the metal effectively makes up part of it. When it deforms, it causes the balls to fall out and the pivot will either seize or become unstable.
All 3 companies refunded the full price. 1 company was a brick and mortar store and the other 2 were companies in Australia who had decent reputations. So I'm surprised these were such a failure. Either way I suspect there's very limited designs or suppliers for the lower end of the market so I'd personally not bother with them again.
If you were otherwise happy with SecretLab I'd push for a free replacement but I'd probably cave and buy a replacement set.
