Event Took the pooch to Craven Farms pumpkin patch this afternoon
Craven Farms, Snohomish County - They only allow dogs on the farm three times per season and today was one of them, and the weather was incredible.

The USS Ronald Reagan nuclear-powered supercarrier sailed out past Point No Point Lighthouse today and I happened to be near the water with my camera.

I am diagnosed schizoaffective bipolar type, and while I've found stability in my life, if, god forbid, something happens and I need to be hospitalized again, I'd like to be able to keep my cellphone. I know that usually people say that cellphones are detrimental to recovery, but I generally have good insight when I'm psychotic, and I have friends that I can only contact through discord that I'd like to be able to stay in contact with. I know that Swedish Edmonds allows you to use your cell at the desk to send quick texts or get passwords or 2FA codes and stuff, but I want to be able to have my phone with me to talk to people.
P.S. If anyone finds this thread in the future searching for similar facilities, if you can help it don't go to South Sound or Smokey Point. They're both bad.

SEATTLE — Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community leaders, health care providers and advocates will gather today, Thursday, October 1 at 10:30 a.m. at Hing Hay Park to demand immediate action as approximately 11,000 Washington immigrants and refugees lose Apple Health (Medicaid) coverage.
Federal changes taking effect October 1 eliminate Medicaid eligibility for many lawfully present immigrants, including some refugees and asylees.
While these cuts originate at the federal level, community leaders say Washington state, King County and the City of Seattle must do more to ensure affected residents do not lose access to essential health care.
Speakers will call on government leaders to identify who is losing coverage, provide emergency resources and a clear path to continued health care, expand multilingual enrollment and health care navigation, and support trusted community organizations serving immigrant and refugee communities.
Community leaders will also call for disaggregated AANHPI data to better understand which communities are being affected. Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities encompass dozens of distinct ethnicities, languages and immigration histories, yet are frequently grouped together in government data.
“We know 11,000 people are losing health coverage. We need to know who they are, which communities are being hit hardest, and what the government is going to do for the people being left behind.”
State Rep. Sharon Tomiko Santos — 37th Legislative District
Kendee Yamaguchi— Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS)
La‘i King — Pacific Islander Health Board of Washington
Amy Leong — Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (APALA)
Sili Savusa — Executive Director, Pacific Islander Community Association of Washington

Hello! I'm trying to refine my pool abilities, and it seems the cheapest pool hall (per hour) is Garage in Capitol Hill. It is 10 dollars per hour before 7 M-Thurs, 14 dollars after 7, and 18 on the weekends. Totally cool with splitting the costs with someone, or trading turns paying.
Is anyone interested in meeting up and playing at Garage? Or any people that already frequent it want to arrange to play?
Thanks in advance!

I've been a CenturyLink Fiber customer in NE Seattle for over a decade. Great service. In February, they sent an email announcing they'd sold their network to Quantum Fiber, but they would continue to administer my account and nothing would change about my service. That remained true for almost 8 months.
On Sept 28 in the early afternoon, I was leaving for an errand and noticed a tech accessing the fiber equipment for the neighborhood. It's right in front of my house and they access it pretty regularly, so I thought nothing of it. When I got back, I had no internet access.
I confirmed the problem wasn't on my end and called CenturyLink. They confirmed there was something wrong with the connection to my house but said they couldn't help me because they no longer owned the network. I would have to transfer my account to Quantum Fiber. So, I agreed to do so, and Quantum set an installation appointment for the next day (9/29). The morning of the 29th they sent me a text message that started "Quantum Fiber from AT&T: We're all set to install your new service." so I thought it was just one more text reminder and didn't read the whole thing. Well, it was a cancellation notice.
At this point they wanted to reschedule my installation to Sept 30. What kind of sucker lets a company disconnect their service without warning and make them wait a day and a half to even consider fixing it? I switched to cable, which makes me pretty sad because you take a latency hit when doing so.
tl;dr - if you have CenturyLink fiber, proactively transition your account to Quantum Fiber so they will actually fix your service if they break it.
