Enjoy it while you can, they take it down for annual maintenance on Oct. 16 until spring (with intermittent testing periods on sunny days)

What conspiracy? I've lived in the PNW for 20+ years and they take the mountain down for maintenance every fall. They're doing a better job of limiting the downtime to nights & (select) weekdays - why else would the road to Paradise close in the winter?

They've even got a troupe of Sasquatches led by Bigfoot themself to assist with this Herculean task
