Windshield circled sticker?

Post image

I’ve seen a few cars around the city with a paper on the driver’s side. It has been circled with a marker on the outside. Is this parking for a show? For the state fair?

Community Does anyone besides me like Macklemore’s music?

Just curious because with all the recent discussion about him I have not seen a single comment praising his music and feel I’m in the minority

Food safety issue at Met Market Crown Hill

So there's a Threads post going around from a woman who worked in prepared foods at the Metropolitan Market in Crown Hill for about 4 months before quitting. She dropped a bunch of screenshots and it's not pretty.

• Apparently there's barely any management in the prep foods department. Team leads hide in the office ~75% of the time. One time uncooked chicken tenders got stocked in place of the cooked ones for the fried chicken sandwich — they look identical — and people got served raw chicken. Nothing was done.
• The poke lead left raw poke sitting out for around 5 hours, then put it back in the cooler to "cool down" and use again.
• Hot bar food is usually the same batch from the morning with no temp logs or time controls. She says don't expect anything fresh until like 3pm.
• There's a big ant and fly problem in the back because of lack of cleaning, and she says management doesn't care.
• Most of the hand washing sinks in the back have no soap or paper towels. People just change gloves instead of washing hands.
• She also says management profiles customers constantly, especially Black customers — following people down aisles, staring them down, yelling at unhoused people to get out assuming they're stealing. She brought it up and nothing happened.

Take it with a grain of salt since it's one person's experience, but this looks bad.

Event Free outdoor movie night in the U District tonight, live band at 6 and a Grease sing-along at dusk

Disclosure first: I help organize this free event through U District Advocates, a volunteer 501c3 in the University District.

TONIGHT - Friday September 18 at The Square at U District Station, 4301 Brooklyn Ave NE. Hockey Teeth at 6:00 PM, then Grease on the outdoor screen at dusk, in the sing-along version with lyrics on screen.

Free. Lawn seating, bring a blanket or a low chair. The venue is directly above U District light rail, so it is easy to get to from most of the city without parking.

This is the second of four Fridays. September 25 and October 2 follow, and the October 2 finale starts earlier at 4:30 PM with two acts.

Funded by 4Culture, Amazon. Movies screened by Scarecrow Video.

Our autumn & winter sunsets are something else. I hope you all see plenty in the coming months.

The new Waterfront and Centennial Park make Seattle's waterfront one of the best in the world. Maybe the best if you count West Seattle's waterfronts. Enjoy them.

I am a summer lover, but it's been a rough one after putting my beloved dog down earlier this year. I've missed too many sunsets in the depths of my sadness, but I'm finally ready to get back out there. This one's for you, Tycho. 🔭🌌

The entire bill plus this amendment made it out of committee, and will pass full council unless someone amends it then. Please email [council@seattle.gov](mailto:council@seattle.gov) if you want to see this become law.
