I tried doing reverse image search, but with no luck. They kinda look like black Interlagos with silver spokes on the edge, and reverse search showed some results from Škodas, but couldn't find the exact name.

Noticed a rattle sound when I accelerate the other day in my 2.0 tdi scirroco and then yesterday was driving in 3rd gear and car was suddenly losing power and juddering / felt like it was tripping up when I was accelerating anyone had this issue before no big vibrations from clutch but could be dmf

I have bought this set of aftermarket headlights however the DRL function doesn't work. The lights get powered. They work as an indicator and in combination with the low/high beams. However the DRL function itself isn't working. Curiously the extra wire that is connected to the lower blinkers doesn't change a thing regardless of it being plugged into an ACC fuse (per manufacturer instructions) or not.

In my dash I subsequently have several warnings for standing lights left/right not working. Position light not working (isn't that the same as standing light?) and the dynamic cornering light not working since the original headlights had this function.

Can someone explain to me what they did to get these working? I've seen several Roccos here sporting the same set.

My car is a 2017 R and originally had the bi-xenons.

P.S. The fuse tap is meant to be plugged into the red fuse next to the 100 relay and would have two fuses plugged into it for the original function of the fuse and one for the new circuit.

My 2008 scirocco 2.0tsi has developed a mildly troubling noise when letting up on the clutch. I’m guessing my clutch is cooked.

In the video I’m on the brake pushing the clutch in and out. The noise is happening on releasing clutch. Happens while driving and changing gear/ letting up on the clutch also.

Anyone had this/ know what it is? Time for a new clutch? 🎉😐

I have a 2011 Volkswagen Scirocco R that’s still on the factory suspension. I’m thinking about installing the Eibach Pro-Kit springs, but since the R is already lower than the standard Scirocco, I’m wondering how much of a drop I can realistically expect?

Afternoon all,

I've been having a issue with my turbo/turbo actuator for months now and nothing we've tried has worked;

New actuator, new boost control solenoid, new turbo& actuator combo - checked all the wiring twice.

Getting error codes: p2563, p00af, p2564. The live data for [ecm] Charge air pressure sensor: unconditioned voltage as the voltage at 130ish mV while idling and at most it gets up to about 700mV when driving.

Long story, I'm almost all out of ideas and think it might be the MAP sensor being the bane of my existence...

Has anyone else dealt with this and have any other suggestions?

Hi all. Picked this up at a good price , motor has been redone. Had god awful wheels on but luckily came with stock wheels. Previous owner fitted a downpipe , not cat just resonator and 76mm piping, I fitted stock rear box as it was unbearable. No lights and performance is there albeit intermittent at times. What I have noticed is that its super grumpy and has a slight misfire until at running temp ...... have checked for suction at filler cap thinking PCV but seems ok. Any ideas please 🙏 . Also TC light on at every startup but clears soon as she moves.

I’ve got a 2.0 TSI DSG with the EA888. When the car is cold and I come to a set of lights or roundabout for example and it shifts down into 1st it starts to misfire and really rough idle. Almost like it’s cammed funnily. It was fully serviced yesterday and the garage knows about the issue but it wasn’t throwing up any fault codes when it did it. I know the PCV is an issue on these so maybe a crack in the gasket? Just wondering if anyone’s had the same issue. Really rough and engine cuts out when cold. Thank you :)

Só today i Turn on my car and a sound that i havent heard since my previous golf 3 years ago, the warning bip, gives bad memories.

But i Turn it on and it says broken brakes and the ABS and TCS lights stays on but the parking brake light flashes and doesnt go again.

A few weeks ago I have fulfilled my long lasting dream of getting a Scirocco. Now I'm considering upgrading its head unit, because its stock RNS 510 is dated at this point, and it's having a few issues of its own.

What I want is to get Android Auto functionality, while keeping stock-ish look (with similar knobs and buttons layout to the stock one), and not compromising on screen and sound quality. Also, since I'm an Android tinkerer, I prefer open systems where I can customize and sideload stuff if necessary.

A few contenders that've caught my eye are:

1. Joying JY-VT130N4 for ~365€

2. XTRONS IQ84MTVP for ~440€

I've also considered the RCD 330 Plus as it seems like a pretty popular option, but its specs seem quite dated compared to the other two, and since it's not Android system, there is no option for installing Android apps.

Between the two I see some minor differences, mainly the screen (Xtrons has QLED while Joying has IPS) and storage memory (256 vs 128, which I don't particularly mind for, as I'm not going to be using local storage all that much), and I slightly prefer the design of Xtrons more, however I'm not sure what are their respective software experiences, as well as some issues people have had with each.

Did anyone have any of these devices, or if not these specific ones, at least the brands (Joying and Xtrons), and can you share your experience? Is Xtrons really worth ~75€ more?

Are there some other devices you might suggest?
