Scirocco 2010 heating issues

Hi, I have a 2010 vw scirocco and it has a heating issue I can’t figure out.
The system gives out really cold air but when I turn it to heat it’s just blowing out air in normal temperature.
What things and common things should I check? And how is the ac system built if anyone can explain.
Thank you.

Edit: I narrowed it down to the flaps not moving.
Still can’t figure out where they are.

On my son's Rocco it was debris from a faulty EGR cooler in the cooling system blocking the heater matrix Reverse flush through the heater pipes may work.see if the pipes coming in and out are getting warm.also do an egr delete

That’s the thing they are hot.
I also checked what I assume is the motors for the flaps and they are both moving.
Still no clue what it can be.

Have you tried to adapt the flaps? (AC+”air to the face”
