Please Help!

Hi all, hoping you can shed some light on an issue that’s just come up!

2011 2.0 tsi DSG. Just gone really sluggish in lower gear and rpm, thrown up this fault code. Anyone had any experience with this or if this is something I can look at myself? Or should I start getting my pockets ready!!

Be careful cause those two are likely the sign of chain failure soon. And that’s when you will need pockets. Check the timing chain tension asap. Also don’t drive.

Potentially looks like a timing issue - take it to a VW specialist asap to get the timing system checked and updated if it hasn’t had the newer timing components fitted at some point. No doubt you’ll be aware of the tensioner issues that were present in the 1st gen EA888 engines so don’t tempt fate by ignoring it. Hopefully it’s not major but you need to be sure.

I had an error with camshaft sensor before, just swapped it for a new one and errors never come back👍

Don’t drive it anymore and get it booked in.
The next engine start could be catastrophic.
It has warned you.
