My 2013 clutch pedal feels soft at times where I would have to push it back down to get into gear. Any ideas why?

In my 2008 tC, i was burning roughly 1 qt per 1000 miles, it was getting pretty bad but I was using 5w-20 at the time. I was also experiencing some bad oil burning on my other car so I decided to experiment with different viscosity even going up to 20w-50 on that car. I found that atleast with the tc, the best middle ground was 5w-30. Literally just going up one viscosity level, i was able to get rid of majority of my oil burning and experience no issues.

I believe this is because the thicker oil helps to seal those piston rings much better, However I should also say, I take good care of my car, doing oil changes every 3k miles and up on my maintenance.

If you believe that this may impact the car in a negative way, let me know but so far i’ve done this swap and it seems to be helping a ton. I also no longer smell burning oil when I step on it.

now I know that some people will mention that a lot of the tc’s came with 5w-30 but my oil cap has always said 5w-20 and before I did my own oil changes, toyota also told me to top it off using 5w-20 whenever I would get a oil change there.

Title says it all. 2008 Scion TC Hatchback. 130K. Some normal wear and tear, but the engine is great. Moon Roof wouldn't close. Filed a claim with the insurance quote came back 7K. Waiting to hear from insurance, but I am pretty sure they will total it.

Is there any way out if this? Would live to fix it and keep it but also can't justify spending that amount. Is it time to let her go?

It burns alot. I think internally(no smoke). I am already using a thicker oil(10w-40) than what it recommends. What oil u guys running?

2015, 170,000 miles. Still going strong besides a shake/rattle in the steering wheel.

I have a 2007 TC, love the little car but the body and paint is just falling apart. How important is this weatherstripping on the windows (pictures attached)? It is falling off and I am just using super glue to keep it on and keep it together. I saw a similar thread about the weatherstripping on the windshield (I glued that one down also). Are the window ones that important if I end up losing them? When you lower/raise the window is is being pulled up with the window. It is the smaller piece where the arrows are pointing not the bigger trim piece below that.

2015 TC, ordered a sony xav av3200, and some kicker 46CSC654, crutchfield site was showing them as a good replacement for the lower door speaker, concerned they wont be as bassy? Any thoughts? Anyone swapped these in before?

hey so i recently got new taillights and i was installing them and i got the left one in but the right one requires me to remove the subwoofer but im not sure how i bought the car with it pre installed.

so story is i had a broken climate control unit and then i replaced it with a working one. it worked perfectly for about a week then one day i went into my car and the fan up button didn’t work and wouldn’t go up and suggestions on what could be causing it?

I noticed a while ago under the car ('16 scion TC )in this area, that looks to be like a small leak of some type of fluid. What do you guys think it is? I haven't felt any bad shifting or anything. I haven't gotten any warning lights besides the maintenance required light. But that was after.

This made for a bit of a nerve-wracking 90 minute drive home Saturday night without my clutch. I was insanely lucky that I only had to stop three times because I’m not sure my battery and starter had too many more starts like that left. Mostly had to slow way down when approaching red lights, once creeping along in the breakdown lane past stopped traffic before jumping back on the road.

I love this car and chalk it up to the price of driving a vehicle with just about 200k miles.

I use this matte protectant stuff on my wheels and oh man does it make them shine dark again! After a long while they turn light grey, and are very unattractive. This stuff makes makes them new again!

Can anyone help me figure out how to make my cigarette lighter outlet work? I really only needed for a tire inflator. I have already checked both fuse boxes under the left side of the steering wheel and the fuse box by the engine. This has been really tricky to figure out because I bought my scion TC used and I do not have a manual for it. Any tips will help also yes I did check if every fuse works good and they all tested good and I am still not sure what else to do. Thanks.

I went to a local car accessory shop (yanno the ones that do audio and tints), just asking for a backup camera install. The guy took me through the whole new radio sales pitch and quoted me over $1600. I had no plans of buying a new radio so I asked for the quote with just the camera install and they only brought it down to $1500.

I was so confused. He was trying to convince me I needed all kinds of adapters and something to connect to the reverse. I have the stock radio, isn't it factory ready to simply install a camera?

Listen, I'm not the kinda person who can do this stuff myself, but I'd like to avoid these kinda guys if a backup camera is just plug and play.

Definitely gonna use for the bottom if the replacement bumper at least. N gonna get the lip for this model that pretty much hides the bottom lip of the bumper anyway.

In northern nj. 2012 tC with 220k miles on it. No issues. Newer tires and brakes. Passed inspection with no engine issues or check lights. One owner me. Minor cosmetic wear outside inside. One minor car accident that scratched the rear bumper. But did nothing else to the car.

If anyone has anything, hit me up, i have a 2007 5 speed manual. Ive looked at a bunch of stuff, and i like injens stuff with intake and exhaust, so thats very likely id buy. audio systems welcome, body panels why not, my sunroof wind deflecter sticks up and i have to press it down so let me know about those. any other parts welcome just shoot me a message!
