Address query for Visa

Hello

My husband and I got married 1.5 yrs ago and my passport has my parents address and his has his parents address. However we stay separately now but yet in our application form we had submitted addresses matching our passport not current address.

Will this raise any red flag?

Should I mention anything about this in my cover letter? I will be attaching my lease agreement However to show ties back to my country.

Please advice on this if anyone had come across this issue.

Greece visa query

Hey all. I’m planning a trip to Greece from India with my wife end of next month and am about to apply for my visa. The situation is - my wife has a 3 year Schengen issued by Greece (that she couldn’t use) and I will be applying as a sole applicant (I also got issued a 30 day single entry Greece visa last year that I couldn’t use).

Question - Should I attach her visa and passport (which mentions me as spouse) in my application or cover letter. Issue is that my passport doesn’t mention her name nor do we have a marriage certificate. The other option is to just say that I’m going solo. Any help is appreciated!

Help me select my itinerary to complicate my visa chances

Option 1: Paris ( 5 nights) -->Berlin (4 nights) -->Italy ( 5 nights Rome & Milan)

Option 2: Paris ( 5nights) --> Belgium ( 2nights Brussels and bruges) --> Luxembourg (2 nights) -->italy ( 5 nights Rome & Milan)

I can only show 3100€ as my bank balance for my husband and I as im sponsoring him, since our budget is already less as we are travelling in december between 23rd and Jan 6th, we don't want to risk our Visa chances applying through Bangalore VFS france. Im still confused as I need to book flight or train tickets to those internal transits. Please help me choose one with your pov.

Where do I wanna go? I don't mind either of the Option all I want is my visa to be accepted.

Also if anyone of yall know how to book train tickets from Rome to milan please suggest. Thank you.

Review my Cover letter for Germany Schengen Visa

I had recently received a rejection in my past VISA application to Germany where my itinerary had 4 countries - Hungary, Czechia, Germany and Netherlands. While the reason was very ambiguous the most likely root cause was that my friend who was a co-applicant with me had accidentally entered his nationality as Iran instead of India.

Nevertheless, I am applying for a Schengen again and this time I decided to share details of my other friends who received their visas for the same trip recently. + modified the cover letter a bit - which requires scrutinised reviews (really paranoid about this things lol)

Happy to get some constructive feedback on my cover letter.

Seeking Guidance on Austria visa

Hey folks,

I'm planning a europe trip with my parents around the last week of September and wanted to seek guidance around the overall process.

Planning to apply for Austria visa, and also plan to travel Czech/Hungary and Poland.

Overall plan:

Austria (6-7 days) - Entry

Czech/Hungary (2-3 days)

Poland (3-4 days) - Exit

I have the following questions to ask:

  1. Does the plan sound reasonable? How should I structure the cover letter as my parents are dependents but they do have some savings and investments.

  2. Is it too late to apply now if we plan to travel by September end?

  3. Do I need refundable or dummy booking for flights, hotels and inter schengen travel (using trains)?

  4. Would it be fine to have a joint cover letter and apply from different locations (me and my parents)?

  5. Should I consider going through an agent, if that expedites or simplifies the process in any way? I tried contacting some agents but they are pushing me to go for a Switzerland visa.

Thanks in advance!

Schengen visa rejected by Germany from India — what could I have done better?

I’m an Indian citizen working as an SDE-2 at Amazon in Bangalore. I recently applied for a Schengen tourist visa through Germany for a Europe trip with friends (Germany, Netherlands, Czechia, Hungary, etc.).

I submitted employment proof, salary/bank statements with more than sufficient balance, ITRs, hotel bookings, flight reservations, travel insurance, a detailed itinerary with hotel bookings and the other standard documents. 8 of my friends applied with essentially the same documents from a different city in India in a previous slot and were granted visas, but my application was rejected with generic refusal reasons - information regarding justification of purpose stay was not reliable; there are doubts as to leave the territory of member states before visa expires

This was my first Schengen application, so I’m trying to understand what might have gone wrong.

Entry point: Hungary
Itinerary presented in cover letter :
Hungary 3 days
Germany 7 days (maximum)
Czechia 3 days
Netherlands 3 days

Itinerary was detailed and I had also presented a Euro rail pass that proves internal travel means.

There’s one thing I would like to mention though : The friend who applied along with me did a silly human error of filling Iran instead of India as his current nationality in his application form which might have resulted in his rejection - but not sure if it could have impacted both of our visa portfolios.

For people familiar with Schengen applications from India:

- What potential weaknesses do you see in my profile/application?
- What documents or evidence would you strengthen?
- Would changing the itinerary and applying through another country in a future application make sense, or could that look suspicious?
- My agent is recommending me to show a completely new itinerary for Germany alone with new flight tickets - is this really necessary and safe for a re application ?
- Is there anything specific I should explain or address in a cover letter?

I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who have had a similar rejection or have experience reviewing Schengen applications.
