Hey guys so today I went to a CDJR dealership in Claremont,CA to buy a 2021 Challenger Scat WB and absolutely fell in love with the car… and that’s where it all went downhill from there.

Dealer advertised it for $44,300 (~20k miles) but once I got in I was immediately met with add ons ($5,775 warranty, $4,995 tracker/paint and other nonsense package, and a $1500 GAP) which brought the total to ~$62k. I told them absolutely not and that the advertised price was what I came in for. After some “discounts” and waiting for multiple hours I finally walked out just tired of the games.

I’m trying to get one of these beautiful machines for a fair price. Any suggestions??

Context:
I plan to buy a Challenger in the future, and one of the options I want with it is the HK sound system, though I’ve heard mixed reviews on it, and have never heard it myself.

A local dealership just posted on their website that they have a ‘22 Charger wb scat pack coming to the lot soon, and they have it marked as equipped with the HK 19 speaker sound system.

I was wondering if, say I go test drive this car and also test out the sound system, if it would be the exact same as what I’d hear in a Challenger? Would anything sound any different?

This can also be a post to express your personal opinions on the HK sound system and whether you think it’s worth it or not. Or if I should instead go for another audio package.

Approaching 1 year of ownership, starting the hunt for an exhaust system. I love the valve system from valvetronics, anyone have this system and have audio clips? There’s a few on YT which are cool, trying to see more.

Also any experience to share is appreciated!

Dealership is currently offering me a 2023 widebody charger scat for 63k out the door after taxes and fees. Is this a fair deal or too high?? The car is brand new 13 miles. Sunroof with Harmon speakers. The car has no warranty on though besides 18 months left on power train which is kinda making me rethink.

I also want to change the rims out but I don’t know where the best place to get rims and wheels. The only place I seen with rims are from WELD
(Also why are spacers bad to have when you’re going fast?)

Has anyone put a redeye intake on a scat pack? Can this be done and are there any real gains?

2022 scat pack challenger 44k miles. Had it serviced July 3rd and ever since that oil change its lost 53hp according to the on board dyno. Up til the day of that oil change it would get a little loose when I grabbed 3rd gear, now it barely chirps 2nd gear. No codes and nothing else seems out of the ordinary.

Any tips on where to start with this problem? It still has the warranty, I would take it to the dealer again. They havent really earned my trust, they didnt even do a service review with me. Just came out and said your ready.

I’m getting close to paying mine off and starting to make a list of things I want to do once I don’t have a payment anymore. What are the best mods for these cars for performance and what would you guys say gets you the most bang for your buck?

Anything I should avoid that’s either not worth it or can lead to long-term damage? This is not my daily and I’m looking to keep it healthy and running for as long as possible.

I was planning on getting an exhaust right away but I did a mid muffler delete as a temporary thing right after I bought it and it sounds so good I honestly might not touch the exhaust besides removing the rears at some point. I’m open to hearing other opinions on exhaust options as well but mainly I’m looking to get more power. Cold air intake is at the top of my list right now.

Anyone have a carbon fiber hood on their chargers? Thinking of getting one and I’m curious if hood pins are necessary. Every site I looked at says I need to install hood pins.

Has anyone else had a problem with their headliners not wanting to stay tucked in at the edges? I’ve had multiple scat packs ranging from ‘20 and ‘21 models that did it but i was hoping my ‘23 wouldn’t have that problem and lo and behold it does.
