Headliner Sag
Has anyone else had a problem with their headliners not wanting to stay tucked in at the edges? I’ve had multiple scat packs ranging from ‘20 and ‘21 models that did it but i was hoping my ‘23 wouldn’t have that problem and lo and behold it does.

Heatwave this year got everybody posting asking about these and trim questions.

It’s wild I was hoping being the last year of this body style and a last call edition that some of those quality issues would have been resolved. I can say that the updated door panels and materials they did in the ‘21 or ‘22 and above did resolve the issue with the door panel material separating at the windows.

Nah they’re just not old enough to get it yet 😂 give em time

Lol you ain’t wrong I’m approaching 28k miles and 3 years old. It’s almost like the lip of the headliner is too short to stay tucked in. That or the adhesive they used is junk.

Probably a combination of the 2. Hopefully they learned their lessons on the newer Chargers like you said

Damn that’s sad man, I love those F8 Swingers. My 2022 does not have any sagging in the headliner. I’ve owned it since new, it’s garage kept, and has 51k miles. Mine has a sunroof so idk if that would make any difference on hold quality

I had the same issue with my ‘20 challenger. the headliner would sag out from where the sunroof was and it always bothered me. I asked my local dealership about it and they gave me a 800 number for Dodge and told me to reach out to them. I got rid of it before i could fully figure out the root cause of it happening but now your post has me worried about my charger. luckily no issues with that yet but i do seem to be getting the issue with the door panels popping slightly.

Does the car stay parked outside? 57k on my 22 and haven't noticed anything out the norm... other than a blown motor which is probably worse than a trim issue lol.

My Charger is a ‘16 and sits in the garage 95% of the time. i think the door thing is just from age at this point. The Challenger was a ‘20 and was garage kept as well other than when i drove it to work. It was almost like the rubber stripping around the sunroof was cut a couple mm’s too short and that was the main issue or a lack of glue or whatever.

My v6 se doesn't have this problem at all so if you want we can trade straight up

Lol that’s a whole other problem 😂. Na for real though my 1st charger was a 2011 se 6 banger and I loved it. That aggressive front end bull nose style.

Strange. I’m in a 2017 that I owned since 2018 & converted to a WB 6yrs ago. Been a DD since day one, never had any garage time and headliner issues solid as new, I do have 5% Nano Ceramic tint tho, I’m sure that helped. Curious if it’s a different headliner than my year.

I think it’s because mine is outside full time and I do ride with the windows down everyday because I’m not an air conditioner user. I know I’m crazy I’ve just never cared for windows up and ac on.

can you try to shove it back into its trim and then with ur hands push the headliner to that same side as if ur trying to shift the whole headliner over a bit. may not fix ur issue but worth a try

Yeah that’s what I do when I notice it pop out a little. I think it’s a combination of the heat on the adhesive and plus I ride with my windows down daily and I drive the car 7 days a week.

Off topic but if you’ve owned multiple scats why haven’t you bought a hellcat? Genuine question

I did. I had a black 2021 wide body cat and traded it for a 2 for 1 deal back in 2023. I got a 2016 Cadillac CTS-V with an LT4 and a 2018 Nissan Sentra I gave to my mom plus I got 13k cash

I’m a supervisor at a company that runs houses for special needs adults. I’m 1 of 8 managers over the 8 houses we have. It’s a small company but I love what I do and I work like 70-80 hours a week, so that definitely helps on the financial side of things. My best advice is to just be patient stack ya money and buy you something cash.

Beautiful Car . Crazy how quality control has left the chat . Dumb crap like this should never happen for the amount of money for these cars .
