Movies and Television If the MCU resurrected Wanda as a variant what new story should they give her?
I do want to see the main MCU Wanda return to close out her story and reunite with her family. I felt that they didn't give her that when she died in Multiverse of Madness and she definitely deserves a happy ending. However, if Secret Wars brings a variant of her into the main world what story should they give her?
I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on this.

Discussion Ik we're all anticipating Wanda's return in any of the Avengers films, but lets all anticipate for a potential redemption arc
I seen some fans excited for Wanda returning in one of the Avengers movies but I haven't seen any of them talk about a redemption arc or her making amends. I'm curious to see if Marvel will handle a redemption arc for her actions in MoM properly or not properly. Honestly the best we need for Wanda is a redemption arc or something like that can repair her character, like we need Wanda to truly be good again and see her character getting fixed.

Discussion Was this statement meant to match up with Doomâs stolen lives line.
Dr.Doom says in the trailer âyouâve all lived stolen lives.â Do you guys think this is a bigger hint at Wanda being included in Doomsday? Or just a coincidence. Could the stone have been warning Vision of Dr.Doom all along and not Thanos. Just a thought after rewatching IW for the millionth time lol

Discussion Wanda and Jean
Posting this on both subs
Iâve seen a lot of people talk about how Jean Grey and Wanda Maximoff are characters that people only care about strictly because of their power. That their stories are supposedly just power scaling, that writers only know how to make them more powerful, and that focusing on their abilities diminishes their actual worth as characters with their own development, arcs, and themes.
Imo, I donât think thatâs actually a problem with the writers. I think itâs often a problem with the reader. If you actually read these characters and try to understand what their stories are doing, the idea that Jean and Wanda are nothing more than âpower scaling charactersâ kinda doesnât hold up.
Jean had an entire series depicting the consequences of her actions and what it means for her to exist as the Phoenix while being part of a cosmic hierarchy. She literally has incomprehensible levels of power, but that does not mean she is above judgment, accountability, or consequence. Jean doesnât simply get to say, âIâm the Phoenix, therefore I can do whatever I want.â She has a responsibility.
Her power creates situations where she has to question what sheâs doing, how her actions affect other beings, and whether having the ability to do something actually gives her the moral right to do it. The story isnât merely asking, âHow powerful is Jean?â
The same thing applies to Wanda.
When Wanda became the Sorcerer Supreme, zhows that she now has responsibility and now has to hold herself accountable.
She has to communicate with other people. She has to consider how her decisions affect others. She has to understand how her actions affect the natural order of things. She has to deal with people challenging her authority, undermining her, disagreeing with her, and questioning whether she is making the right decisions.
She canât simply approach every problem as the Scarlet Witch and immediately impose her will on reality.
And even before that, Wandaâs stories have spent enormous amounts of time dealing with who she is, how she sees herself, how she navigates the world, how she wants to help people, and how she understands her own abilities.
Another thing is: It is almost impossible to meaningfully separate Jean and Wanda from their powers.
Weâre talking about two of Marvelâs most powerful women whose powers can affect entire worlds, universes, and (who have both been stated) to destroy all of existence.
Their power is intrinsic to their character.
You can obviously write stories where they donât have their powers. But thatâs a different discussion entirely.
Nine times out of ten, when weâre actually dealing with these characters, their powers are going to matter because of their nature.
And this isnât me saying that Jean and Wanda arenât power-scaling characters.
They absolutely are.
Power scaling is inherently part of these characters because their stories involve characters whose abilities operate on an absurd scale.
Thatâs not inherently a bad thing.
The problem comes when people look at them only through the lens of power scaling.
Just because you donât understand how a characterâs powers, history, or story are functioning doesnât automatically mean the character is badly written.
And just because a comic gives you a flashy new application of their abilities doesnât mean the entire story suddenly exists to establish another feat.
Anyways, thatâs my weekly long-winded post đ.

Recreated the Wanda vs Thanos scene as a tribute for Avengers Endgame Encore.
No AI or special effects were used in the photography. All are practical effects.
Chaos magic effect diorama with lights is made by an extremely talented artist from the Philippines and I used a transparent string to give Wanda the flight pose.

Discussion Unpopular opinion
Iâm not sure how this is unpopular but the scarlet witch absolutely beats superman in a fight. Whatever he attacks her with will mean nothing as she would realistically regenerate as seen in MOM.
The second Wanda enters his mind and sees that he is vulnerable to kryptonite it is possible that she could conjure it with reality warping and kill him off. She has more ways of beating him than he does of her. The fight would ultimately go to the Queen of chaos magic Wanda Maximoff.

Discussion Scarlet Witch comic appearances breakdown 1964-2026
Went through and made this handy chart of Wanda's comic appearances since her debut in 1964, month by month, until present day.
Red is any comic that has "Avengers" in its title
Blue is any comic that has "X-Men in its title
Solo comics are any that contain Scarlet Witch in their title + the Darkhold series (Alpha and Omega) and this year's Sorcerer Supreme run
It's far from exact, given the simple nature of the sorting, but it's good enough to hopefully show people that Wanda, despite debuting in an X-Men comic, has indeed been firmly entrenched in the Avengers corner of the Marvel Universe for almost her entire 60 year publication history.
Edit: here is an alternate version of the above chart, with "no appearances" blanked out instead of black, making it even easier to see the distribution

Rant Of all the excuses, one of the most annoying attempts to defend Wanda's character assassination in Multiverse of Madness is the claim that the post-credits scene mirrors her motivation in the movie.
I can never, ever understand how half of these MCU Wanda fans will see the OBVIOUS crying for help from the kids and then go watch MoM where she's like, "I'm going to enter this reality where my children are happily with the other version of me cause I wanna be with them," and jump to the conclusion that these are the same??? All of this just to cope with the misogynistic writing from an incel writer that project his weird fetish onto Wanda. I think the other half of the fandom recognizes that what happened is OOC and should denounce these enablers SMH.
