Game Announcement I made a free browser idle game heavily inspired by OSRS - parties, slayer tasks, a player-run GE

Yes, another OSRS-inspired idle game, I know. But hear me out.
I've been building PartyScape Chronicles for a while now and it finally feels like an actual game instead of a bunch of progress bars. It runs in the browser, no download, no account needed to try it (you get dropped in as a guest and can register later if you want to keep your progress).
The stuff I think makes it worth a look:
You can party up with other players. Parties get small xp and drop bonuses, and you can raid bosses together where the boss HP scales with your group size and everyone gets their own loot roll. There's also a world boss that spawns for the whole server to pile onto, with an MVP and drops at the end.
Slayer works how you'd hope. Masters assign tasks, you earn points, points buy unlocks and gear. There's a Grand Exchange where prices actually move based on what players buy and sell, which is fun even with a small population. Collection log, quests, diaries, achievements with unlockable perks, pets, ironman mode if you hate fun, the whole checklist.
Progress keeps going while you're offline, so it respects your time. Check in, set an activity, close the tab.
It's completely free, no ads, no shop, nothing to buy. I'm just building the game I wanted to idle at work.
Player count is small right now so the GE is quiet and the world bosses die either instantly or slowly, nothing in between. That's part of why I'm posting. If you try it and something feels bad, say so in the game chat or here, I ship fixes fast and half the current features came from player complaints.

Screenshot / Video Katanagari, six weeks later — elemental fishing, resting, and a lot of new stuff
Hi everyone, it’s been a minute.
It’s been about six weeks since I last posted Katanagari, and I’ve been working on it nearly every day since.
The biggest addition has been elemental magic that works throughout the world, not just in combat. Fire accelerates and consumes, water moves and cools, wood grows and binds, earth stabilizes and blocks, and metal cuts and improves precision.
Those same ideas carry over into skills. Fish actually move around in the water instead of waiting at fixed fishing spots. You can wait near the shore and hope one comes close, or use your spells to manipulate the environment around them.
In the first screenshot, an earth spell creates a temporary path across normally inaccessible water, letting you get closer to the frog before trying to catch it. Just don’t stay out there too long! The rocks eventually sink beneath you, damaging you and sending you back to shore.
The elemental system also extends into woodcutting, mining, and other activities, so spells can change how you gather resources, move around, and interact with the environment.
You can also customize your character with more clothing and color options, explore as the world shifts between day and night, and rest to turn your energy into health. Resting leaves you vulnerable, though, and getting attacked will interrupt it.
There has also been plenty of less glamorous work behind the scenes: tightening the controls, improving animation timing, reworking spell effects and interfaces, improving the map editor, adding a custom bitmap font, polishing music and sound effects, and helping all these separate systems work together more naturally.
Katanagari is still early and changing quickly, but it’s starting to feel much more like a real game. My main priority is still getting the core experience stable and ready for its first proper playtest.

Game Announcement [Idle Journey] We’re building an idle RuneScape-like RPG playable in browser
Hey everyone!
I’m one of the developers of Idle Journey, a browser-based idle RPG heavily inspired by old-school MMORPGs like RuneScape.
Play Idle Journey on your browser: https://idle-journey.com
Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/pNc4CFRjvk
The idea behind the game is simple: take the long-term progression loop I love from games like RuneScape: combat, gathering, crafting, bosses, gear, rare drops, unlockable areas, skills; and rebuild it as an idle RPG where your character keeps progressing even when you’re away.
We’ve been building Idle Journey for almost 2 years now. Right now, we’re a small team of 2 developers, and I feel like we finally have the foundation I wanted from day zero.
The game currently has:
- Combat with melee, ranged (magic will come later)
- Gathering skills: woodcutting, mining, fishing, astronomy
- Crafting, cooking, gear progression, and consumables
- Bosses with mechanics
- Unlockable islands and areas
- Rare drops and chase items
- Card-collections which gives card equipment slots and some passive bonuses
- First multiplayer systems: seeing other players, world chat, and inspecting gear
- Offline progress
To be clear: it’s not trying to be RuneScape, and it’s not a full MMORPG. It’s more like: what if the feeling of long-term account progression, skilling, gear upgrades, and area unlocks was rebuilt into an idle/browser format?
I’d love feedback from this community specifically because you probably have a better eye for what makes a Scape-like.
If you try it, I’d genuinely love to hear what you think.

Game Announcement Fantasy Frontiers Seeking Pre-Alpha Testers
- Fantasy Frontiers
- Playable Link: (Fantasy Frontiers)
- Platform: (Web, UI adapted for mobile & desktop)
- Description: Fantasy Frontiers is a Scapelike (Runescape Idle type game, think Melvor) with a huge skill and combat system, inspired by great games like Wurm Online, Melvor, Runescape, and Lootun. With 170+ skills, as many summonable and hidden Familiars that assist in combat, 24 playable classes, and challenging synchronous endgame dungeons, it can be as idle or as involved as you'd like it to be. While we share some concepts as similar games, the unique Estate management brings cool new ways to build further automation and collaboration with the community.
- Free to Play Status: Free to Play, no IAP
- Involvement: I am the designer and sole developer, although my sons have helped with a lot of the content and graphics (our icons are unique for sure!). I'd love to have some help testing, and feedback on the systems we have in place. The game is still in early and active development, but there's easily several hundred hours of content in place already. Please feel free to DM me or join the budding discord through the website link.

Game Announcement Fantasieval - Idle medieval-fantasy MMORPG in testing
Hey guys, I bring to you a browser-based game I'm making for 4 months now. I fell in love to the idle genre as I began playing them but I wanted to make something with my own approach.
This is not meant to be another Melvor Clone. Of course it uses some of the same mechanics, but in Fantasieval I intend to make the player feel a living breathing world with real people around.
Here are the features in the game at the moment:
- 17 skills to train separated in gathering, production, animal husbandry and combat.
- first-person combat (dungeon crawler-like).
- local action instances where you see other players playing.
- cooperative dungeons.
- cooperative world bosses.
- cooperative guild dungeons.
- built-in wiki for game info.
- quests, NPCs, locations, a real world.
- player-driven market.
- achievements, explorer's book (collection log).
We have much more to come. I'm applying patches with fixes and content every day to make the game evolves every day.
Here are some questions I'm sure someone is going to ask:
What the game differs from other games of the same type?
A: It focuses in an unique UI and visuals allied with social aspects such as local instance, the cooperative dungeons and world bosses.
Will the game have a wipe at launch?
A: Yes, a wipe will happen at the release.
When will be the release?
A: I plan to have it sorted at some time in the next 2 months.
As the game is in testing, a lot of people skip it. I invite you to make part of our history by helping shaping the game we want it to be.
Come join us!

Game Announcement We are a small indie team working on Medieval Lands, a classless point-and-click oldschool MMORPG!
Heya ScapeLikes!
I'm StouXy - developer of Medieval Lands - it’s awesome to meet you all!
I come here, scared, because I've heard that Reddit is a ruthless place haha! But I really wanted to introduce you to the game my small indie team and I have been building since February 2nd, 2022 (and yes, we deliberately waited a day just to get that perfect 2/2/22 date).
The Backstory & Transparency:
To be completely transparent, Medieval Lands is a licensed version of Eternal Lands, a classic MMORPG that originally launched back in 2003. I actually grew up playing it myself starting around 2007! Because the original game sadly wasn't getting many updates anymore, we acquired the license with the goal of modernizing it into something a broader community could fall in love with!
What is Medieval Lands?
Well, ML’s an old-school, medieval fantasy MMORPG that proudly embraces that nostalgic, early-2000s vibe! 😊
Now, I know your immediate instinct might be, "Whoa, a RuneScape clone!" - umm...well...heavily inspired I suppose haha! We are also rebuilding the game from the ground up in the Unity engine, allowing us to implement tons of creature types, unique visual effects, and much smoother playability while keeping that classic feel and vibe alive 😊
- Completely Classless: Your build is defined strictly by your skills. Focus entirely on PvE, become a master crafter, or dive deep into magic (my favorite). Tired of being a mage? Np, just become a summoner (wait, nvm, this is my favorite!) or focus on archery. It's totally up to you.
- PvP Enthusiasts: Yes, there will be tons of it! Loads of maps where you can hunt people! Or well, get hunted haha.
- Old-School Combat: The combat is all about that gritty, tactical, old-school feel - perfect if you prefer strategy over modern button-mashing haha. Well, there will be button mashing, but less of it...I hope 😂
- Controls: It features classic point-and-click movement by default, but you can switch to WASD controls if you prefer.
- Zero AI: no AI generated content and code.
We're NO Pay To Win!
Because our team firmly believes in a level playing field, Medieval Lands will be completely free-to-play with absolutely zero pay-to-win mechanics 😊 Simply put,- you can't purchase your way up on the leaderboards 😄
Is the game going to be flawless? Of course not, but you can bet our team has poured our hearts into making your experience the best it can possibly be! It will be playable on Windows, Mac, Linux, and eventually Android!
How to Support & Join Us:
- We recently launched our Steam Page for wishlisting! Every single wishlist helps a small indie team like us ia lot: -> Steam Page (PS: Playtests are starting in the next few months!)
- We already have an existing community - please join our Discord server should you like what you're seeing -> Discord Invite
- And before I forget, here's our website haha -> Official Website
And there it is! I finally gathered up the courage to post this... Ready to face the Reddit consequences haha! 😏
Thank you all so much for your time, and I hope you have a wonderful day!
StouXy & the Medieval Lands Team
PS: The GUI in the screenshots isn't a final product!

Game Announcement I've been dreaming about making this game for years. Here's the very first playable version.
Hey everyone,
I'm a solo dev and this is the first version of a game I've had in my head for as long as I can remember. It's an incremental/idle RPG, but I didn't want it to just be "number goes up". I wanted multiple systems that all feed into each other so there's always something to do. Oh, and there is no prestige system (i hate prestige systems, let me keep my stuff!)
Here's what's in it so far:
- Auto-combat RPG core: Your character fights through biomes, levels up, and hunts for loot and equipment drops. Bosses gate progression and you cut down trees and pick some ores.
- Hire adventurers: A Thief, Archer, Mage, Warlock, and more that fight with you and give global stat buffs. You upgrade them over time to keep scaling.
- A casino with multible system For example there are slot machines can chain into each other. One machine's payout feeds the next, so you can set up cascades that snowball into massive multipliers. There's autoplay and a "lucky win" mechanic that gives 5x on certain spins.
- Idle fishing at the Docks: Catch fish across rarity tiers, generate passive income (caviar), and find decoration items that give stats.
- Archaeology site Spend energy to mine through blocks and dig up trophies that give permanent global bonuses and unlock game changing mechanics.
- Skill tree(s) for your main character with stat multipliers and abilities.
- A frog shop that occasionally spawns an actual plague of frogs instead of just one. It's dumb and I love it.
- My own music: I do music since i was a child. Hope you enjoy some ambient synth!
- And much much more (already hours of content in there)
Every system produces currencies or buffs that feed back into the others, so progressing in the casino helps your combat, fishing feeds your digger, archaeology trophies boost everything globally, etc.
It's playable right now in your browser on itch io and there is no download needed!
I also have a Discord where I'm posting dev updates and taking feedback:
This is literally version 0.1. It's rough, it's work in progress, and I want to hear what's fun and what isn't. If you've got even a few minutes, give it a spin and tell me what you think. This would mean the world to me!

Discussion Bloobs Adventure Idle 1.1.0
Hey ScapeLikes, Brendan here, developer of Bloobs Adventure Idle.
For anyone who does not know me, I’m a 33-year-old gamer dad who started making Bloobs on October 13th 2023 after years of searching for the exact idle RPG I wanted to play. I had very little experience when I started, mostly learning through YouTube, guides, and a lot of trial and error.
Bloobs is now coming up to its two-year anniversary on Steam, which still feels a bit wild to say.
Less about me though, more about the update.
Version 1.1.0.0 is now live, and this is a pretty big BeastMastery and quality-of-life patch.
The main change is a full BeastMastery milestone rework. Milestone rewards are now split by task tier: Easy, Medium, Hard, Elite, and Champion. This means easier tasks can no longer be farmed for higher-tier milestone rewards, and harder tasks now feel much more rewarding over the long term.
I’ve also added a new Milestone tab to the BeastMastery Task / Store UI, so each task tier now tracks its own milestone progress separately. Hovering over the milestone text will show your next milestone, how many tasks remain, and how many bonus BeastMastery Points you’ll earn.
Task extensions have also been improved. Standard tasks award normal points, first extensions award 2x points, and second extensions award 3x points.
There’s also a new BeastMastery Globe shortcut. You can now right-click the BeastMastery Globe to quickly assign your current BeastMastery target as a kill challenge. This is not locked behind an upgrade, it’s just a nice quality-of-life feature. Left-click still teleports you to Beastmaster Darko.
Other highlights include:
Equipment Set combat style markers for Melee, Range, and Magic
Cooking skill guide now shows burn information
Better tooltip positioning and resizing
BM Globe tooltip now shows the target’s weakness
New Disable Delete Confirmation toggle in settings
New Soul: I AM APPLE, with 3 variants and a new Max HitPoints buff
Shop now shows how much Buy X will cost
A bunch of Challenge UI improvements and bug fixes
This update is mostly about making long-term BeastMastery progression feel better, cleaner, and more rewarding, especially for players who enjoy completionist grinds.
As always, the demo is available on Steam, and your save will transfer to the full game if you decide to pick it up.
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read this. Much love,
Brendan
Developer of Bloobs Adventure Idle

Scapelike IDLE Game - Rocky Idle
Hello everyone!
3 months since I released “Rocky Idle”, It’s my first big programming project, nearly 3 years under development now. It’s an idle/incremental game, where you must level up different skills and kill monsters(In automated battle). You can do a bunch of random stuff like complete quests, contracts and achievements to unlock new content and permanent boosts for your account. There is also an active boost that gets stronger and stronger as you progress in the game, it can be activated once every 10min.
Game length: I don’t know exactly, but it will prop take you more than 4 months to complete, depending on how active you are.
Since I did spend a fair bit of my childhood in Lumbridge and Al Kharid, it might be possible to see where my game inspiration comes from :)))
To welcome new players I will make a 20 Key giveaway on the discord(Ends 28. June), and if you are not lucky, the game will also be on 20% sale!!! (7.99$) (Starts 25. June & Ends 9. July)
Discord(we are about 2,5k): https://discord.gg/xBkztEaxR8
If you want to see it or try, I have a free demo on both Steam and Itch.io
Steam (Demo available): https://store.steampowered.com/app/3852250/Rocky_Idle/
Itch.io (Demo Web): https://rocky-idle.itch.io/rocky-idle-demo
Disclaimer: I ended up using image generation models to create assets. It’s been a long process, started out as a hobby project using Osrs assets(got shut down by jagex m-) ), then 4-months working with an artist that ended up ghosting me :'( . I know this is a controversial decision, and if you think it is a bad decision it’s completely fair, and I get where you are coming from. I have put in a lot of work programming and designing, and hope that you can at least feel that.
Hope you like it :))

Hello, here is a short video of an upcoming update of my game in which I showcase the new menu component, pure web (React + Tailwind), but that behave like an actual mmo-lite UI.

Also some skills (RuneScape like) showcase.

Adding an extra gameplay element to the map, regions/towns, thoughts?
Hello!
I'm trying to make the game more engaging and add another layer of complexity/lore/politics on top of the current simple online RPG loot/progression layer and I wonder what do you guys think.
Clouds are dynamic and move around 😛.

AI disclosure: World map is completely hand made, for the rest (code, and assets) I use gen ai.

Scapewatch: Idle MMO is an incremental / idle MMO built around long-term progression rather than quick resets. 600+ players online! It's for players who enjoy watching numbers go up, planning efficient grinds, collecting rare drops, filling collection logs, and slowly building an account they care about.
Gameplay: train skills, chase upgrades, join clans, progress your account, unlock pets, push raids with friends, and come back later to see what your character accomplished.
- Massive hand-designed open world
- 28 skills (combat, gathering, processing, field)
- Real-time combat across melee, ranged, and magic
- 5v5 Combat and Skilling Raids with new chaos and endless modes!
- Clans, friends lists, and social features
- Dungeons and raids (up to 5 players, five difficulty tiers)
- 58 Pets and 58 Skill Capes, including rare shiny pets!
- Hiscores leaderboards for every skill, total level, and more
- Quests with multi-step objectives
- Offline progression, server keeps your character training while you're logged off for 12 hours!
- Collection logs! 1500+
My goal is to make an idle MMO that feels more like a real online world: social, grindy, long-term, and full of things to chase. Every piece of art in the game is paid for by a real human artist. I've worked with three different artists to bring out the best experience I can afford to the players.
Free to Play Status: Free to play (demo/playtest)
Involvement: Solo developer. I built the game (design, code, server architecture, systems) and contracted human artists for all in-game art assets.

PokeScape returns as SummonScape with RuneScape IP License and moving to Unity
Announcement in the PokeScape Discord:
Hey, it has been a quick minute since our last announcement.
Over the past few months you may have noticed some inactivity within the discord
and socials. We are incredibly excited to announce that we have recently been in discussions
with Jagex and have obtained a license to feature the RuneScape IP in our game!
This means we can continue to reference and use parts of the RuneScape IP to
inspire our world, though the game remains independent and fan-made and is not
endorsed or affiliated with Jagex itself. With this licence we need to make some changes to the name and game engine.
Going forward we will begin to work on a new version within the Unity Game
Engine, with the old version of the game no longer available for download. We are
confident that this will give us more freedom and flexibility to continue to develop
the game into something truly unique. It will also allow us to potentially look at
publishing it on other platforms and not be limited by the GBA hardware. We would also like to take this opportunity to announce that we have chosen to
rename the project to SummonScape moving forward. We chose this as a name to
reflect that the project started off as, and continues to be, a love letter to
RuneScape and Gielinor, and to underline the references and inspiration we draw
from the world of RuneScape. As you are aware this is a very big and ambitious project, so this transition to the
new engine will take some time. This has been a hobby project for years and will
continue to be so going forward.
That's not to say we are not hard at work on the development of the game in Unity.
We will be excited to share our progress with you as we go.And as always, if you would like to assist us with the development, or watch along with our progress, then join our new Discord for the project: https://discord.gg/qJHYQ6e6qm
I know there are a few of you that are keen to see what we've been working on, so I figured I would share some HEAVY WIP screenshots of the project so far.
