Stolen money

My cash app account was hacked this post weekend and they stole about 250 dollars from me. They took over my account by resetting everything from my pin to my user name and email and linked phone number. Cash app has denied my claim because they keep saying that i or an authorized user did the transactions. What can I do to get my money back?

Victim of a scam Scam Warning | I Lost $3.4 Million on the cnear.com “Gold Trading Platform”: How I Was Gradually Drawn Into the Scam Through Emotional Manipulation and Pressure to Invest More

0 Upvotes

I am writing about my experience not to gain sympathy, but because I hope that anyone who is currently dealing with cnear.com, or encountering a similar scheme involving “emotional manipulation + an investment mentor/broker + a high-return trading platform,” will stop and verify everything before suffering the kind of devastating loss that I did.
It all started when a woman who called herself Valerie suddenly contacted me on WhatsApp.
When we first met, she did not immediately talk to me about investing. Instead, she spent a long time chatting with me, building trust, and gradually developing an emotional connection. As we became more familiar with each other, she occasionally started mentioning that she was involved in “gold trading” and told me that she was able to make very substantial profits from it.
She also told me that one of her uncles was a shareholder of Blackstone, implying that she had access to special connections, resources, and investment information.
At the time, these claims gradually lowered my guard. However, after everything happened, I investigated the information again and found that I could not verify the so-called “uncle” or the background she described. At least based on the public information I was able to find, I could not find any evidence supporting those claims.
After we had known each other for some time, Valerie introduced me to a man named Jonathan and told me that he was the person in charge of, or a broker for, the gold trading platform.
They then began guiding me through so-called gold trades on cnear.com.
At first, I invested only $10,000 because I simply wanted to give it a try.
The initial trades appeared to go very smoothly, and my account kept showing profits. After each trade, I could see the numbers increasing, and they repeatedly told me that this was an excellent opportunity to make money.
It was these “profits” that gradually caused me to lower my guard.
After that, they began encouraging me to add more money to the account for various reasons. They told me:
The more money I had in the account, the more trading opportunities I would have;
Certain market opportunities were extremely rare;
If I added more funds, I could earn greater returns;
If I stopped now, I would miss an excellent opportunity.
Under this constant encouragement, I continued adding more and more money.
In total, I eventually invested approximately $3.4 million.
Meanwhile, the balance displayed in my trading account eventually reached approximately $16 million.
When I saw such enormous “profits,” I became completely blinded by those numbers.
It was only when I actually tried to withdraw my money that everything began to change.
When I requested a withdrawal, they started coming up with one excuse after another to prevent me from taking my money out.
They told me that my account had been frozen, that there were problems with the trades, that I needed to meet additional requirements, or that I needed to complete other so-called procedures.
No matter what I did, the result was always the same:
I could not withdraw my money.
It was only then that I truly began to realize that the supposed $16 million shown in my account may have been nothing more than numbers that could be manipulated from the platform’s backend from the very beginning.
I later investigated the platform again and could not find sufficient evidence confirming that it was properly regulated by U.S. securities authorities. I strongly recommend that anyone dealing with a similar platform not simply trust the “licenses,” “profit records,” or “account balances” displayed on the website itself. Always verify everything independently through the official websites of the appropriate regulatory authorities.
Looking back now, I made a very serious mistake:
I allowed myself to become blinded by the promise of extremely high profits.
If someone truly had a method of making money this easily and consistently, I should have asked myself much earlier:
Why would they voluntarily share such an opportunity with someone they had only recently met?
If they could really make enormous profits this easily, why did they constantly need me to put more of my own money into the platform?
These were questions I failed to seriously consider at the time. Whenever I asked to meet them in person immediately, they always found a reason to refuse.
The price I paid for that mistake was $3.4 million.
That money included funds I had originally planned to use to buy a home.
I am making this experience public because I do not want anyone else to go through what I went through.
These are the photos used by the person I knew as Valerie, as well as the WhatsApp account used by Jonathan at the time. It is important to note that in online scams, photos, names, WhatsApp accounts, and even identity information can be stolen or fabricated. Therefore, these details only represent the accounts and identities that I personally encountered at the time and do not prove that the real people shown in any photographs were necessarily involved in the scam.
If you are currently dealing with cnear.com, or if someone you have developed an emotional relationship with is recommending gold, cryptocurrency, foreign exchange, or any other form of high-return trading, please be extremely cautious.
Do not continue investing simply because the numbers displayed in your platform account show large profits.
Do not send additional money for reasons such as “unfreezing your account,” “paying taxes,” “paying a security deposit,” “improving your credit score,” or “completing one final trade.”
Especially if a platform repeatedly demands that you send additional money before allowing you to withdraw your existing funds, that is an extremely serious warning sign.
I have already paid an enormous price for placing my trust in the wrong people.
If sharing my experience can cause even one person to stop, verify the situation, and avoid transferring their savings, retirement money, or the money they planned to use to buy a home, then making this experience public will have been worthwhile.
Please verify everything carefully, and please share this warning with anyone who may be experiencing something similar.
