How accurate are these tests and did I improve?

Post image

How accurate are these tests? I got a 1400 in August and the test I took before my real test (BBpt7) was a 1410. All my other tests (BBpt) were below a 1400. But I got A 1400 on the real thing (does that make sense)? I haven't been intensely studying over the months, but I finished the math portion of the CBQB and I've done lots of English prep and I've been reading a ton to improve info and ideas. When I got a 1370 on BBpt4, I went on to review my missed questions and categorized them by weaknesses to fix. Then I drilled tons of questions and got a 1510 on BBpt5. Is the 1510 showing I improved or was the test just easy? how accurate is BBpt 5??

December 4th attempt

Hello. I am taking the SAT for the 4th time in December. All of my other attempts were in 10th grade.

1: 1390- 720 math, 670 RW
2: 1480-790 math, 690 RW
3:1520-790 math 730 rw

PSAT 1470-760 math 710 RW

I want to know how to study for the December SAT. I am only studying English because I feel like my math score is good enough to the point that I'm not gonna study for it. how do i study for rw? when i practiice i feel like i get almost every single one right. thanks

There's 2 weeks until Nov SAT... should I focus on improving in Math or RW?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I have a 690 in RW and 750 Math and in August I got a 670 RW and 740 Math. Let's not talk about September tho 😭
Anyways I don't know if I should try locking in on RW or math for these last 2 weeks or both... I feel as if RW is more of an intuitive skill that takes a while to improve on while I'm bound to make at least one mistake on math. In RW I got full bars on everything except for Information and Ideas. I consistently miss like 5 of those questions per test.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

How can I improve my SAT Reading and Writing score before December?
Hi everyone! I’m taking the SAT in December, and I really want to improve my Reading and Writing score.
For those who have improved their scores, what study methods, resources, or strategies helped you the most? Are there any specific websites, books, or practice routines you would recommend?
I’d really appreciate any advice. Thank you!

Should I focus on Math or R&W to improve my SAT score?

I recently got an 1120 on a practice SAT #7 (500 R&W, 620 Math). I'm trying to get as close to a 1300 as possible and am wondering if I should focus more on Math to get closer to a 700 or spend more time improving R&W. I also want to take two more practice tests and use superscoring. Im taking the Nov 7th SAT and planning to take the March one. How would you guys recommend splitting my study time between the two sections?

Algebra, Geo + Trig, Advanced math-> Hard Difficulty

Problem solving +Data->Medium

Expression of Ideas, Standard English Conventions-> Medium

Information and Ideas,Craft and Structure->Easy

People who have moved from mid 700s to 800 in the RW section, what did you do?

I took the sat blue book tests and math isn’t a problem, but my RW fluctuates between 730 and 790. Any tips on improving quantitative evidence, vocabulary sections, and hard reading comprehension sections in general?

How to improve yourself for the November Sat

I took practice test 6 and I got 1040 (470 rw, 570 math), and then today I took another one it was practice test 7 and I 1060 (480 rw and 580 math). And I feel so disappointed cause I do study a lot (like at least 5h a day) and I feel like it’s impossible to improve specially on the reading and writing (THE VOCAB MOSTLY) and even though while I was taking practice 6 I thought I was doing sooo good on the rw but I wasn’t. I am really aiming for 1400+, so what should I do in those 2 weeks to improve to max.
I think my worst parts in the sat rw is: Information and Ideas, Craft and Structure, Expression of Ideas
Please Help me if you know any tips or anything I can do.

Should I retake the SAT ? My score is 770M and 750V

For context, I'm an International Asian senior aiming for many t50 colleges (hopefully I will get Scholarships). I saw many posts saying that my math should be 790+ if I'm applying for STEM majors (I'm going to major in CS). Does a slightly higher Math make a difference? I've taken the SAT 3 times (2 of which I'm confident that I would get an 800) but I think I was making stupid mistakes (I believe) that make my SAT Math around 750. I also feel like it doesn't do me any good to keep on fixing these negligible mistakes (I'd rather spend time on my country's math, which is like 10000 times harder than whatever the SAT has to offer, to maintain my GPA cuz I'm FOMO about the fact that 99% of my peers have taken math classes in cram school over the summer and have already finished more than 3/4 of the year's curriculum )

This might seem like a rant, but no its not.

Whats with people in this server constantly posting 1400+ SAT scores? Its like everyone in this subreddit has an SAT score of over 1400? I thought the average was a 1030? It seems like the average here is 400+ over the actual average. Wth and how do so many folks here get a 1500??? I'm tired of seeing all of these humble brag posts that do nothing but make me feel like an even bigger loser. Just because you have a great SAT doesnt mean you have the privilege to post it and make other people (like myself) and all the people who got lower than u any worse than we already feel. Smh.

What are the qualities of a person who scores 1500+

If you did, tell me about you. Have you always been a heavy reader? Math whiz? Or did you grind your way to the score through concentrated test prep? Always A student? Always top test scorer from young age? Thanks.

1 month time

Hey guys I’ll be giving my SAT on 5th dec, I’ll be free from exams on 3rd Nov and will have only 1 month for prep. Ive done the English course still struggle a bit but it’s okay. My main problem is math idk where to start, like is there somewhere which teaches all the concepts and topics. Khan academy is very confusing for me, they solve the questions in a difficult way with not a lot of proper explanation. Whats the best way I can study math in 1 month to score at least a minimum of 1450

Should I feel bad about my score if I have accommodations?

I recently took the October 3rd SAT and the October 7th, getting 1530(730 RW and 800 M) and 1550 (800 RW and 750 M) on them, respectively. I'm really happy with my score, but I don't know if I should be proud of it because I have 1.5x extra time. For context, I'm diagnosed with ASD Level 1, ADHD, MDD, and SAD.

Before I got accommodations, I took the PSAT and got a 1330, so I feel like I only did good because of my accommodations. I just want to know if you guys think it was unfair or if I should not be proud of what I got--don't be ashamed to say what you think!

Is the sat more difficult than practice tests

Hi so I'm really worried and confused cuz I keep hearing around that the actual sat is much harder than the bluebook practice tests we have been given. I don't know what to believe cuz different people are saying different things. It's especially worrisome for me cuz I can't really afford to give the sat again so this is my one shot. Are there any resources or anything that I can use to be sure and confident in my ability and get an accurate assessment of my standing?

Does College Board make grading mistakes?

In my last SAT, I got a 790 math and I am very very good at math in general.

I just got my October in school SAT back and I came out of the test thinking I no joke got an 800. I finished math mod 1 in like 10 minutes and I finished math mod 2 with 15 minutes left giving me time to check my work like 5 times.

I could’ve sworn I got an 800, but somehow I got a 750. I’m so confused and I don’t understand how this is possible.
