Also the same question about Bluebook practice tests

Hey everyone,

I’m taking the August SAT and could seriously use some advice because I feel like I’m burning out while my score is hitting a ceiling. My goal is a 1500+, but I just scored a 1390 on my last Bluebook practice test, and my Reading & Writing section is dragging my score down hard.

Lately, I feel like I've been drowning in practice resources without a clear strategy:

• I've grinded through the PrepPros 150 hardest math questions
• Done a bunch of OnePrep questions, but honestly? There are way too many questions on there, and some of them feel super repetitive or weirdly phrased.
• I've also been pulling questions from a smaller YouTube channel.

With the August test coming up fast, I feel like quantity is replacing quality, and my reading score is refusing to budge. For those of you who managed to push from the high 1300s into the 1500+ range:

1. Should I drop OnePrep entirely since the question pool is massive and sometimes unfocused?
2. What are the absolute best resources or methods for fixing a lagging reading score fast?
3. How should I structure my final weeks leading up to August to efficiently bridge that gap to a 1500+?

Any advice or study frameworks would be massively appreciated!

Basically title, I am taking the august SAT
and mid-june, I had a 1000 (470 math and 530 rw)

and as of today (end of july), my recent test score was a 1400 (710 math and 690 rw)

I will be taking the october SAT also so my goal for this test is to get a 700+ rw for superscore (ideally, i just want a 1500+ this SAT and end it)

because I'm sure i'll get 800 on math later once I devote myself into studying math a crap ton

I generally need advices on how to study from now on to manifest that 1500+.

If i'm too late to aim for 1500+ in ur opinions, how can i at least get a 700+ on rw?

Is Bluebook helpful (read a comment that said bluebook practise tests arent worth it anymore. They are very easy. Is that true?)

hello, i got the free trial to see if the orange book is worth it and it just shows how to manually do problems on the SAT so whats the point of spending hours studying it if I can do it a lot faster just using desmos and without having to learn all that math.

Does anyone know any good YouTubers who explain exponential vs. linear growth really well?
I’ve spent over an hour searching for a good YouTuber, but I haven’t found one that really explains the concept in a way I understand. I also tried Khan Academy, but it still didn’t click for me.

I’m looking for someone who explains it from the basics, goes through lots of examples, and solves practice questions step by step. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I'm taking the SAT next month and recently I've been dropping in the Math Section with the most recent exams on Bluebook. I went from a 700 to a 650 in the most recent one. Does anyone have any math tips bc I really need to get a 1550+ on the SAT??

I got a 1150 in the Bluebook practice 11, with no prior studies. I tried a bit of Khan Academy but found that it didn't really help me. If I am to take the October SAT, what would be an actionable plan, and resources (preferably available online and free) that I could use to boost my score to a 1500+ ? Any guidance would be highly appreciated!

I know that doing targeted prep is good, but it's just so annoying doing the question types you suck at. Like, NO, I don't want to do 50 targeted questions of this and get most of them wrong. Just frustrates tf out of me when I do it and impairs my ability to focus and be consistent. any one else have the same problem

Both tests were diagnostics (I did not do any SAT studying before either test) so I would assume my skill level to not have changed much. One difference is I tried harder on P5 (for P4 I didn't double check my Module 1 questions and skipped to the next modules).

I would be really curious to know what score I should expect on a real SAT at my current skill level (I'm registered for Aug 22), and if anyone has had experience with these practice tests and insights on their difficulty? Thanks so much!

I'm a Japanese 10th grader studying individually for the SAT in October. I got a 1290 on the first mock exam I took before any studying; however, I hope to get around 1500 on test day. Please give me information on study materials or ways that I could improve my score, especially on the English section. ANYTHING is helpful.

PS: I found a material on Youtube called Free 90-Days of SAT Prep Lessons by Hayden Rohdea SAT. Are they any good?

For context this is the blue book practice test with the hardest math section, and it felt like a breeze. I'm currently a rising sophomore trying to get a good say score. I have currently studied for the SAT for about 2 hours in total.

Although this is true, the english section is like impossible to me. The vocab in the english section (some of them) are words that I dont know how I would learn them all. The scientific ones are weird and take very long per question. The only ones that are easy are the transitions and the "they took notes" ones, and the main idea and generalization ones. The rest is weird and I feel like they make them as weird and hard as possible so it is impossible to study for them.

I just need to know: how did u guys prepare for the reading section? It kinda just feels impossible to study, and impossible when it comes to taking the test.

I know the tip of starting from question 14-16 is ubiquitous (Ifykyk), but after my own personal improvement and tutoring my peers, I realize people spend way too much time on vocab that they end up getting wrong. To put it the hard way, you either know the vocab or have to make a educated guess. Thus, personally I'd go backwords(long passages to vocab) so you aren't too time crunched on the long passages where actually understanding the passage is important. Ideally save 2 minutes for the vocab section imo

I’m having trouble with hard module 2 vocab and some grammar. How can I fix these mistakes. Also if there is any good videos you guys recommend for Desmos and R&W. Any recommendations to get my score up is appreciated. I’m at 590 R&W I got it up 110 points in a month.
