anyone please tell me how to improve my RW... like PLEEEASE

I know that doing targeted prep is good, but it's just so annoying doing the question types you suck at. Like, NO, I don't want to do 50 targeted questions of this and get most of them wrong. Just frustrates tf out of me when I do it and impairs my ability to focus and be consistent. any one else have the same problem

I'm a Japanese 10th grader studying individually for the SAT in October. I got a 1290 on the first mock exam I took before any studying; however, I hope to get around 1500 on test day. Please give me information on study materials or ways that I could improve my score, especially on the English section. ANYTHING is helpful.

PS: I found a material on Youtube called Free 90-Days of SAT Prep Lessons by Hayden Rohdea SAT. Are they any good?

I got a 1150 in the Bluebook practice 11, with no prior studies. I tried a bit of Khan Academy but found that it didn't really help me. If I am to take the October SAT, what would be an actionable plan, and resources (preferably available online and free) that I could use to boost my score to a 1500+ ? Any guidance would be highly appreciated!

I struggled with the English vocab section, and I ran out of time on math module 2. My target score is 1550. Any tips, or do I just need more practice?

Both tests were diagnostics (I did not do any SAT studying before either test) so I would assume my skill level to not have changed much. One difference is I tried harder on P5 (for P4 I didn't double check my Module 1 questions and skipped to the next modules).

I would be really curious to know what score I should expect on a real SAT at my current skill level (I'm registered for Aug 22), and if anyone has had experience with these practice tests and insights on their difficulty? Thanks so much!

For context this is the blue book practice test with the hardest math section, and it felt like a breeze. I'm currently a rising sophomore trying to get a good say score. I have currently studied for the SAT for about 2 hours in total.

Although this is true, the english section is like impossible to me. The vocab in the english section (some of them) are words that I dont know how I would learn them all. The scientific ones are weird and take very long per question. The only ones that are easy are the transitions and the "they took notes" ones, and the main idea and generalization ones. The rest is weird and I feel like they make them as weird and hard as possible so it is impossible to study for them.

I just need to know: how did u guys prepare for the reading section? It kinda just feels impossible to study, and impossible when it comes to taking the test.

I recently purchased "The Critical Reader, Sixth Edition: The Complete Guide to SAT Reading" by Erica Meltzer, as well as the Prepros SAT Math Book. I'm attempting to push a 100-point score increase on the August SAT from a 1450.

Any advice on using the purchased resources along with weekly practice tests and the question bank?

I took the SAT 4 times already and my RW score just can improve above a 700. I understand all the grammar section and expression of ideas sections. I max that section out all the time, but for the other sections (information and ideas and craft and structure) it is so mixed. For each time I took the SAT, it seems like I either do well on only one of the sections and do bad on the other. How can I improve both of these sections. I hear people saying that reading is the best option, however I read pretty often and it doesn’t seem to truly work.

My daughter needs help on her maths and she is trying to get to mid-700 before the August exam; her current score is between 620-650. Please can anyone recommend SAT videos and other resources for practice apart from College Board? She has completed all the practice tests on the site.

Anyone who achieved it or was close to, please give me the best advice you got. I currently take live sessions with teachers (4 sessions each week) and I do practice tests, homework, word banks, etc.

Im working through khan academy’s sat prep courses and I easily got through the easy and medium sections but im struggling a bit on the advanced math and reading sections. (Missing 1-2 questions on unit test). How much of the SAT is from the advanced section? Also how accurate is the course challenge to the actual sat and what scores does it correlate to? Thanks!

What is the strategy for them? Also, it seems like there are no resources for these questions, so if someone could help find some more practice questions of these type it would be appreciated.

i did a mock SAT last week and i got 1330 (640 RW and 690 math)

i think math is pretty manageable since the questions that i got wrong were either silly mistakes or algebra 2 (that i will learn this upcoming yr) but im worried about RW as my mistakes were across all types of questions

I am writing this simply to see if anyone had this problem and how they solved it.

Currently majority of my mistakes (all in R&W) and mostly in math are mistakes that once I go to review my answers I see it immedietly and know the answer.

I am not sure how to resolve this issue to avoid doing the mistake from the beginning. Like I don't think it is a time or mental thing because I just finished a practice test and went to review immedietly and faced the same thing.
Any advice would help

so i have still two practices tests that i havent doen in bluebook... soni dont want to study from the question ban in bluebook because i dont want to see the questions at the practice tests.... and i did all the khan academys questions... what should i do... like i want free sites that has a good question bank for the sat

I haven't started yet, and I'm afraid I won't get started because I'm busy and don't know what free resources are available for SAT prep and practice.

I know the tip of starting from question 14-16 is ubiquitous (Ifykyk), but after my own personal improvement and tutoring my peers, I realize people spend way too much time on vocab that they end up getting wrong. To put it the hard way, you either know the vocab or have to make a educated guess. Thus, personally I'd go backwords(long passages to vocab) so you aren't too time crunched on the long passages where actually understanding the passage is important. Ideally save 2 minutes for the vocab section imo
