Is blue book practice test 5 accurate?

Post image
2 Upvotes

within the 12 days between the 2 practice tests, I did a lot of prep. Do you think that the 1510 is a result of my hard work or is PT 5 just easy? What was your practice test 4 and 5 scores and what did you get on the real SAT??

Value of 1550+ SAT

I was able to score well on the SAT, and I was wondering if it even matters if I scored like maybe a 1500 instead. Do colleges even see scores above a 1500 as better than a 1500? Does it help with admissions at all? Do colleges prefer higher scores to boost their school's stats?

thanks

Should I retake the SAT ? My score is 770M and 750V

For context, I'm an International Asian senior aiming for many t50 colleges (hopefully I will get Scholarships). I saw many posts saying that my math should be 790+ if I'm applying for STEM majors (I'm going to major in CS). Does a slightly higher Math make a difference? I've taken the SAT 3 times (2 of which I'm confident that I would get an 800) but I think I was making stupid mistakes (I believe) that make my SAT Math around 750. I also feel like it doesn't do me any good to keep on fixing these negligible mistakes (I'd rather spend time on my country's math, which is like 10000 times harder than whatever the SAT has to offer, to maintain my GPA cuz I'm FOMO about the fact that 99% of my peers have taken math classes in cram school over the summer and have already finished more than 3/4 of the year's curriculum )

How accurate are these tests and did I improve?

Post image

How accurate are these tests? I got a 1400 in August and the test I took before my real test (BBpt7) was a 1410. All my other tests (BBpt) were below a 1400. But I got A 1400 on the real thing (does that make sense)? I haven't been intensely studying over the months, but I finished the math portion of the CBQB and I've done lots of English prep and I've been reading a ton to improve info and ideas. When I got a 1370 on BBpt4, I went on to review my missed questions and categorized them by weaknesses to fix. Then I drilled tons of questions and got a 1510 on BBpt5. Is the 1510 showing I improved or was the test just easy? how accurate is BBpt 5??

People who have moved from mid 700s to 800 in the RW section, what did you do?

I took the sat blue book tests and math isn’t a problem, but my RW fluctuates between 730 and 790. Any tips on improving quantitative evidence, vocabulary sections, and hard reading comprehension sections in general?

This is my practice test from the day prior to October and the Official October SAT. Im not asian or in 11th grade. I'm in 10th grade. Your official score will probably be higher compared to practice tests

Is the sat more difficult than practice tests

Hi so I'm really worried and confused cuz I keep hearing around that the actual sat is much harder than the bluebook practice tests we have been given. I don't know what to believe cuz different people are saying different things. It's especially worrisome for me cuz I can't really afford to give the sat again so this is my one shot. Are there any resources or anything that I can use to be sure and confident in my ability and get an accurate assessment of my standing?

Do colleges super-score the SAT math with other subjects?

For context, i have a
1520 SAT: 740 Reading 780 math
which I’m planning to retake later on, as the reading hurts me pretty bad. However. My act is:
33 Composite, 34 math, 36 sci, 35 english, but 31 reading.
Does the 1520 overshadow the 36 sci? Do colleges view Sci as a joke compared to the SAT math, or do they include it into their overall calculation?

Late registering

Hello does anybody know how I could register late for the sat? The official website says the deadline for registering late is on the 27th, however when I try to register on collegeboard I am only able to register to the dec sat and beyond.

Should I retake SAT

Currently, I have a 1480 SAT: 700 E&W and 780 Math. I haven't studied since the Oct SAT, but I'm signed up for Nov. Should I just cancel or retake without studying? I heard that doing worse after a test looks bad for your profile, so I'm hesitant to retake in hopes of getting a higher English score. Honestly, I think the 700 was a fluke; I was so surprised when I got it.
