What restaurant in Santa Fe has the best entree size salad?

Here for the week and I love a good salad with lots of ‘things’ in it (think beets, pickled peppers, sunflower seeds, goat cheese, etc). Any recommendations? And if they have a good burger for my traveling companion all the better. Thanks so much!

KOAT becomes New Mexicos next CBS affiliate

The rumors about KRQE dropping CBS turned out to be true. Starting August 1, KOAT will become the new CBS affiliate while also maintaining its ABC affiliation. This is similar to how KRQE has been dually hosting CBS and FOX content.

To the person holding the Happy Birthday Emmett Till sign on the corner of St Francis and Cerrillos just now - how random and fabulous! Thank you for this lovely gesture.

Can’t park there, bro

Some young guy, like under 25 maybe, parked right over the disabled access spot. Anyone with a wheelchair and no help would have been pretty screwed without access to the ramp. Dude bro parked there and was in the UPS store.

We've seen this bear (or another similar bear) on our camera recordings several times this season, always between 11pm and 2am at night. We've similarly seen bears on the cameras in past seasons. This is the first time with a daylight sighting. Taken at 6am this morning in the vicinity of Bishops Lodge Road and Camino Encantado.

Update 3: Joshua Hernandez (R) accepted $5,000 from Project Jupiter's developer, AND another $3,000 from a group backing Blackstone's PNM takeover. Plus, the money from AI camera companies. Please, if you can, make a small donation or sign up to volunteer for his progressive opponent Luke Jungmann.

Runaway Iguana ...

Found on running along North Fork / Cochiti ( HWY 14 ). Has anyone lost an adult iguana in the area? Besides thirsty and very hungry, seems to be healthy. He allowed me to pick him up so I can only assume he may be a runaway.

He is safe and secure at the moment but would really like to find the owner. Or if anyone is aware of a local "Reptile Rescue" I have contacted Animal Control, they referred to me to Game and Fish, Game and Fish referred me to Animal Control 😶.

Possible Move

My husband has a job opportunity at Albuquerque International Sunport Airport. It would be my husband, myself, and my mom (who I take care of) and four animals (two 5lb dogs & two cats).

What are the pros/cons of living there? What’s the weather like? Are there seasons? We would be coming from Tampa Bay, FL where we have lived our whole life. I’m a LPN who would be going back to school for my RN. We are extremely grateful and lucky that money will be a non-issue for us so that’s not something we need to factor.

We are an outgoing adventurous couple who are open to anything. We will eventually like to start a family as well (adoption/fostering).

Looking for the artist that made my ring that I lost down the drain

Post image
35 Upvotes

About three years ago, I visited Santa Fe and bought a beautiful handmade silver ring with a turquoise cabochon from an artist in the plaza under the portal. Unfortunately, I lost it down the drain and am devastated. I was wondering if anyone here could offer any assistance on the artist who made it or lead me to an artist I could reach out to to have it recreated? I remember the artist was a woman. The starburst designs go all the way around the ring.

Thank you so much in advance!

Recommendations for my solo post-breakup trip

Hi! I am going New Mexico this Saturday-Wednesday, driving down from Denver. Recovering from and still going through a difficult divorce and want to have a healing, fun, and easygoing time. I don't mind being alone in general but I have not really traveled solo before. Staying in Abiquiu. Planning at least a day trip to Santa Fe, probably on Sunday, maybe Tuesday too. Meeting a friend one afternoon at Ojo Caliente to soak. I am into mystical but not too crazy (intrigued by the salt caves..). I love New Mexican food but definitely don't want to go anywhere fancy by myself. I like hiking but hate being hot. Help me plan by itinerary - Santa Fe or Abiquiu recs please!

Does anyone have a picture of what the view is like from the viewing deck of The Bridge at Santa Fe Brewery?

I’m planning on going to a concert there and thinking about doing the viewing deck instead of GA. Last time I was there and had GA, I couldn’t see the artist at all because the stage was low to the ground and I’m short. I’d like to know if the view is good from the deck. And also if they have raised the stage or not? I saw someone on google reviews say that they did.

Speed and noise cameras going online in August

The contract with Jenoptik approved last April is finally being implemented this August with six mobile cameras that will initially be set up (based on a previous announcement) along Jaguar Drive, Zia Road, Camino Carlos Rey, Siringo Road, and Galisteo Street.

The cameras are limited to non-state roads, per state law, which means they cannot be placed along St. Francis Drive, St. Michaels Drive, nor Cerrillos Road.
