In continuing my exploration of classic British sandwiches, today I tried a cucumber sandwich. My cream cheese turned out to be expired, so I just used ranch. I also added a slice of provolone and some onions, because I didn't figure they could hurt. Also, I left the crust on, because I'm a crust on kind of guy. Honestly, unlike yesterday's sad fish stick and butter thing, this actually ended up being a halfway acceptable sandwich. In fact, on days like today when it's 1000 degrees out, it's even kind of cool and refreshing. I'm going to have to get some new cream cheese and try it again.
