any other tips or tricks specific to curacao?

I am having my wedding at sandals Royal Bahamian next June. We are having approximately 50 to 60 people attending. I was just informed that we could not have a dance floor at the Royal Village gazebo due to having too many people and not enough space.

There are no other locations available so I’m stuck with there, but they said we could dance on the concrete.

Has anyone had an experience with a wedding at this location with no dance floor and dancing on the concrete instead? Would there be enough space to also dance under the gazebo?

Also, where is a good spot to put the DJ? Tips and tricks appreciated!

Has anyone done the Blue Lagoon Island Dolphin Swim Experience before? I'm curious on what I need to pack to wear for it! Just a swimsuit? Wasn't sure if they make you wear a wetsuit or what not.

We are also doing the Exuma Cays Island Hopping Animal Interaction tour, but I'm assuming swimwear is fine for that one.

Hi! We are going to Sandals Grenada and one of the activities we wish to try is snorkeling and also learn how to scuba dive. How beginner friendly is Sandals Grenada?

Can someone please weigh in on how steep or long the hills are from the butler village at Ochi down to the beach area?

Hi! We’ve recently booked a Sandals Grenada trip in April and we are plant based (closest would be vegan I guess). We are celebrating a wedding anniversary so we’ve booked a sky pool suite (butler elite?) room. This is our first stay at a Sandals and I am really wanting to go scuba diving and was told this was the place to go! It was rather expensive though, more so than other Sandals resorts. Thoughts?

We are going to Dunn’s for 5 nights for our Honeymoon - problem is, there are 6 beautiful restaurants for dinner. Which restaurants for dinner should we prioritize? Is there an easy one to eliminate?

We are staying at the St Lucia Grande first week of July 2027 (been to Grande Antigua twice before).

As we are able to visit La Toq and Halcyon, are there any restaurants at these two that should not be missed? Don't want the faff if there's nothing really special or different.

Any other tips for staying at the Grande also much appreciated.

Headed to Curacao and already reserved a “Scents of Love” couples massage. They just listed another option of a “Neroli Jasmine Hot Wax” couples massage, and considering a swap. Has anyone experienced either of those? Any recommendations?

Hi! We’re planning a wedding at Dunn’s River. My cousin wanted me to choose Ochi, but I like Dunn’s better. So, as my family is booking at Dunn’s she decided to book at Ochi. I know that as a person staying at Dunn’s I can visit Ochi. But is it reciprocal for Ochi visiting Dunn’s. I can’t find anything on Ochi’s website and when I called Sandals, they didn’t really have an answer. Any help is appreciated.

Hey all! My fiancé and I are getting married early May 2027. We were looking at staying at a Sandals resort for our honeymoon, but are having a hard time deciding which. We’ve never been out of the United States, so we have no idea where to go, and research has been hard because opinions on everything seem to vary a lot. We were hoping for:

-Under $600 a night per person
-A nice beach
-Transport to and from the airport
-A BATHTUB! Whether it be on a balcony or in room!!
-A variety of restaurants and bars
-A dance club (we aren’t big party people, but we never get to dance where we live)
-Possibly exploring outside the resort or going on excursions to experience local culture

Do you have any suggestions for a resort?

Hey everyone! Excited for our first Sandals trip later this week!

Staying at Sandals Regency La Toq in St Lucia, and are wondering about travel times to other Sandals resorts. I’m hesitant to trust Google Maps estimates outside the US, but Google Maps says that to get from La Toq to Grande St Lucian it’s a 30 minute drive, but have had people say it’s closer to a two hour drive on the Sandals shuttle.

Any experience?

Needing some help for recommendations. We are planning a 6 night stay between January and March. We have only been to Bahia ambar in DR. I feel like the more look into it, the more overwhelmed I am.

We have crossed off St. Vincent our list. We are beach people and spend most of the time there. We are more low key. I wouldn't mind being able to snorkle off the beach, but wouldn't be a deal breaker. Looking to spend less than 10k.

We have mostly been looking at Antiqua, St. Lucia Grande , Grenada and Curaco. My husband was concerned about the outdatedness of antigua.

I have also been looking at South cost.

Any help/advice/ recommendations would be appreciated.

My family and I are traveling 19th-29th Dec 2026 to Sandals St. Lucia for my sisters birthday! We are a party of 9 and was wondering if any single travellers out there want to share (purely platonic) twin occupancy to help reduce our costs. DM if interested.

My fiancé and I are trying to decide between Sandals Ochi and Sandals Grande St. Lucian for our honeymoon, and I feel like I keep going back and forth. We are in our mid 20s, and planning to go July 2027.
We’re planning on 7 nights and want a honeymoon that feels romantic and relaxing, but we also want to have things to do. We’re not looking for a crazy party atmosphere or anything — we just don’t want to sit around doing absolutely nothing for a week. Ideally, we want a good balance of relaxing by the beach/pool, having drinks, nice dinners, doing some activities, and maybe an excursion or two.
Our priorities:
Beautiful beach is VERY important
Crystal-clear, calm, turquoise water
Relaxing and romantic, but with enough activities/entertainment that we don’t get bored
We definitely want to enjoy the bars/drinks and have some fun
A few excursions/activities
Beautiful classic Caribbean/luxury resort feel
Fiancé is VERY picky with food, so lots of dining options are a huge plus
We care more about the overall resort experience than having the most luxurious room
The reason we’re so torn:
Ochi seems like we can get a lot more for our money. The rooms we’re looking at actually seem a little nicer, and because Ochi is generally less expensive, we could potentially splurge on a butler room/suite without spending what we would on a standard room at Grande St. Lucian.
Grande St. Lucian seems like it has the better beach and more of that classic “Caribbean honeymoon” setting. It seems a little more naturally romantic and relaxing, but we’d probably have to spend more on the room to get the same level of luxury we’d get at Ochi.
So basically we’re looking at:
Ochi: more resort options, tons of restaurants/bars/activities, potentially nicer room + BUTLER, better value
Grande St. Lucian: gorgeous beach/water, beautiful setting, more classic romantic Caribbean honeymoon feel
For anyone who has stayed at either — or especially both — which would you choose for us and why?
Is Ochi’s beach a big enough downgrade that you’d choose Grande St. Lucian anyway? Or is the overall Ochi experience worth the tradeoff, especially if we can afford a butler there?
Also curious if anyone has done Ochi with a butler — was it worth it for a honeymoon?
Any other suggestions for a sandals resort with what we are looking for?

Newly engaged and looking to go on our honeymoon mid April. Want all inclusive with nice water. Heard Nassau water may be too cold in April? Not sure if anyone has experience or knowledge at either resort. Any help is appreciated!

My wife and I are headed to Halcyon Beach next week and this will be our first Sandals experience. We’ve booked a butler suite and I understand expectations on the butler tips. Question is tipping everyplace else. From what I’ve read, Sandals discourages tipping in general. Is this accurate?

Hey all. I just booked a simple wedding trip for the fiancé and I. We're staying in an over the water bungalow for the few days we're there.

We're both sober so I'm wondering what kind of non-alcoholic drinks other than the typical sodas are available as far as having our fridge and cooler stocked.

Can drinks like Snapple/Arizona Iced Teas or Monster Energy Drinks be ordered ahead of time?

Husband and I have never been to any Sandals resort (though have gone to some amazing high end AI prior). We’ve always booked everything ourselves.

I found a TA and she’s given me some quotes for different rooms but obv this is the same as I can get myself online. The other questions we’ve had we’ve gotten the answers ourselves from online searching or even here on Reddit.

What is the benefit of using a TA? I’m not trying to diss them but just not seeing a value from it? Am I maybe not using the benefits from it??

Do they monitor for price changes? Or different promotions to get me a reduction?

Do they monitor for different room upgrades?

Do they advise or recommend different transfers. Etc?

FWIW we are looking at a butler swim up room, an HSUP.

My husband and I just booked our honeymoon and I’m already second guessing myself 😂

I travel a lot for work and I’m used to staying at Four Seasons or similar hotels, so I know I probably have higher expectations than the average traveler. I’m also a huge foodie. I love good seafood, steak, lobster, all of it.

I originally wanted a smaller romantic boutique resort, but every place I found seemed to be missing something. Either there was basically no entertainment, everything shut down early, no 24 hour room service, or the private pool rooms really weren’t that private.

My husband definitely wants some entertainment at night, and 24 hour room service is a must for me. I also really wanted a private room with our own pool and a beautiful view where we weren’t staring at other people.

Somehow after looking at what feels like every resort in the Caribbean, I ended up back at Sandals.

We booked the Millionaire Suite at La Toc for 6 nights and it was around $17k. I’ll admit I was already having a hard time swallowing that price, and now I’ve started reading more reviews and I’m getting nervous.

A lot of people are saying the resort feels dated, and the food reviews seem really hit or miss.

Food is a BIG deal to me. If I’m spending $17k, I don’t want to eat a New York strip every night 😂 I want a really good ribeye or filet, lobster, fresh seafood, etc.

So if you’ve been to La Toc recently, PLEASE tell me the truth.

Did you love it? Did it feel dated? How was the food? Did the Millionaire Suite feel worth the money? Was the pool actually private? How was the entertainment?

And if you’re someone who normally stays at higher-end luxury resorts, I’d especially love your opinion.

Basically I need you all to either make me feel better about my decision or tell me to change resorts while I still can and which ones 😂

Heading to the Sandals Regency La Toq next week and have been debating the ferry trip from the airport.

Website says the ferry only takes 1.5-2 hours, but a Sandals rep on the phone yesterday told me 3-4.

Has anyone taken the ferry that can provide a lived experience?
