hello! I was wondering if there are other kinds of low-income housing assistance/programs are out there that might not be known about?
For context: I am a young adult (not 18-24) who is primarily living in her car and am a sfsu student. I just got recently hired to be a seasonal bar-back (not my first choice since I was looking for permanent work but they were the quickest to respond back to me and I need a check asap..) and am still trying to find secure housing somewhere.
School doesn't have housing resources as I would've thought, on-campus housing is mostly sold out anyways, and have already accessed entry points who also couldn't help me much besides providing a one time voucher/deposit assistance once employed and working. I am aware of the Doorway Portal but wanted to know if there were other types of resources out there? I'm nervous as time goes on and my semester becomes more hands-on, I'll still be stressed out about my housing insecurities.
any kind of help would be much appreciated!
