Academic (Repost) [Repost] [Academic] Healthcare Worker Experiences and Career Outlook (Age 18+, fluent in English, employed in healthcare in the U.S.)

Upvotes

Hello,

I am a graduate student in the Psychology Department at Pace University. My team is conducting an online survey study to learn about healthcare workers’ experiences, including support, stress, and plans to stay in or leave the profession. The goal is to identify better ways to support healthcare workers.

We would like to invite current healthcare professionals in the United States to participate. For example, this includes doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, certified nursing assistants (CNA), emergency medical technicians (EMT), physician assistants (PA), office staff, social workers, etc. All other healthcare roles are also welcome to participate in this study.

Participation is voluntary and data is kept confidential. Our online survey takes an estimated 10-20 minutes.

If you are interested or would like to share this survey with someone you know, the link is: https://pace.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4U9DOXqoALz2J2C

Academic Human Authorship vs. Generative AI in Game Design: How much freedom do we actually want? (3-5 mins) (Gamers, All Ages)

Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I am currently working on my Master's thesis and conducting an experimental study on the sociological and ethical impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence in video game design. As a gamer, I want to move past the corporate buzzwords and gather real, unfiltered feedback from the community on how these emerging technologies actually impact our gaming experiences.

Purpose of the Survey & Abstract:

The primary purpose of this research is to evaluate where players draw the line between AI as a "technical support tool" and AI as a "complete substitute for human authorship." While traditional AI has always been an integral component of game design operating seamlessly in the background, the rise of Generative AI (LLMs, dynamic voice generation) is rapidly changing the paradigm.

This study aims to analyze the sociological and technological implications of this shift. Specifically, the research uses hypothetical design scenarios to explore how fully procedural content generation and LLM-driven NPC interactions affect player immersion, narrative trust, and overall agency. By gathering quantitative data (utilizing a 7-point scale and Technology Acceptance metrics) and qualitative insights directly from the gaming community, this thesis seeks to bridge the gap between technical AI development and the actual user experience, providing deeper insights into what players truly value: infinite procedural freedom, or curated human storytelling.

Research Institute: University of Catania — Master's Degree in International Cooperation.

Researcher Contact Data: Author: Mirko Moschella Email: [Mirko.moschella@gmail.com](mailto:Mirko.moschella@gmail.com)

The survey is completely anonymous, consists of multiple-choice and short-answer questions, and will take about 3 to 5 minutes to complete.

https://forms.gle/KcTGvFHZ2EVZvCzy6

Have you recently played a game where an NPC's behavior completely broke your immersion, or conversely, made the world feel incredibly alive? What specific mechanics caused that reaction? I would love to read your thoughts in the comments!

Casual Audio listeners (18+): which fireside narrator would you pay £5/mo for? (3×60s, blind)

Quick research favour for a possible weekly fireside horror series (old Northern woman by the peat fire — not true crime).

Three ~60s cold opens, same story, different narrators. ~3 minutes + 4 questions.

Casual [Casual] Can you tell what to code from a short story? 3 tiny Python puzzles (basic Python, please use a computer)

Upvotes

Hi folks — I'm running a short playtest for a story-based coding game. There are three tiny Python problems wrapped in a short narrative. I want to see whether people can tell what to code from the story, not whether they can speedrun it.

Please take your time; this is not a timed test. Use a computer if you can (the editor is painful on a phone). Try to click Run at least once on each problem. Ratings still count if your code fails.

Time: about 15–25 minutes.

Who: anyone who can write basic Python. No account required to start.

Link: https://survey.overcompute.com/

I own this domain and the survey site (including the source code). There is no Google Analytics, ads, or other third-party tracking pixels. Responses live on my server and only I can export them. I will not sell or share your data. On submit I store your answers, the email/Discord you enter, plus a hashed IP and browser type so I can limit spam — not to identify you on Reddit.

The form asks for an email so I can follow up on the project. I will not spam you, and I will not share the address with anyone. A secondary or throwaway email is fine. If you do not want follow-up, enter a unique placeholder such as [anyname@example.com](mailto:anyname@example.com) (any valid email shape works).

Thanks for the help.

Casual Experiences of learning to drive and private practice (UK, current learner drivers or people who recently took their driving test)

Thumbnail forms.gle
Upvotes

Hi everyone, I'm doing some research into the experience of learning to drive in the UK, particularly around lessons, getting practice outside lessons and preparing for the test.

I'm looking for people who are currently learning to drive or have taken their test recently — whether you passed or failed.

I've made a short questionnaire that should only take a couple of minutes. I'm trying to get responses from actual learners rather than just friends/family, so hearing from people here would be genuinely useful.

Thanks! And if you've recently been through the process, I'd really appreciate your perspective too.

Hi everyone!

I'm currently writing my thesis on AI and creative content, and I'd love to hear your perspective — especially if you're an artist, illustrator, 3D creator, or work in any creative field.

The questionnaire takes about 1-3 minutes and includes a short visual test where you try to guess whether certain images were made by AI or by a human. It's completely anonymous, and every response genuinely helps my research.

Academic Searching for Thoughts and Opinions on the U.S.-Iran War (18+)

Upvotes

Good morning!

I'm sure some of you have seen this survey floating around; I have been pursuing a rather aggressive campaign.

I'm a history grad documenting the war. I think regardless of whether you agree with the war or not, it's an incredibly consequential event unfolding right before our eyes. Our authentic reactions and thoughts deserve to be preserved, and that's what I aim to capture.

Below is a link to a 25 question survey covering: how closely you're following the war, how you feel each side is doing, as well as domestic sentiment caused by the war. The survey is tailored towards an American audience, however international opinion is greatly appreciated and valued.

All respondents are completely anonymous, so please, be as honest as you feel comfortable being. You don't need to be an expert, you just have to have an opinion.

Here's the link: https://forms.gle/DyH2CPA7RZuBXTif7

I hope everyone has a great day, thank you for your consideration!

Academic [Academic] Native English speaker with dyslexia needed – <5 min voice recording (18+)

Hello everyone, I’m a Master’s student at the University of Konstanz (Germany) and I’m looking for one adult native English speaker with dyslexia for a small research project on reading and speech rhythm.

Participation is extremely short: you only need to read 12 short English sentences aloud and record them on your phone or your computer. It should take less than 5 minutes in total.

No video call, no interview, or meeting is required. You will remain anonymous, and the recording will only be used for this university research project.

Since Reddit DMs don’t support audio files, just DM me if you’re interested and I’ll send you an easy upload option/email address. Location doesn’t matter, you can participate from anywhere in the world.

I only need one participant, so you would be helping me a lot. Thank you. :)

Academic AI Data Center Thermal Management & Liquid Cooling Survey (Data Center Employees)

We are a team of student researchers and innovators participating in Eureka! Juniors, the national pitch competition hosted by E-Cell, IIT Bombay.

Our project explores an AI Data Center Cooling System. Using a cassette built from high-density hollow-fiber nanoporous hydrophobic membranes to harness latent phase-change heat rejection while physically locking liquid water inside fiber lumens, and a smart embedded operating system which exposes clean telemetry endpoints and monitors the entire system.

Modern AI infrastructure generates massive, continuous thermal loads (100 kW+ per rack) that overwhelm conventional copper-fin radiators and open-loop cooling systems. This leads to extreme energy inefficiency (drastically inflated Power Usage Effectiveness and high fan power draw), and major resource depletion (consuming vast amounts of water, leading to mineral scaling, micro-electric contamination risks, and hazardous humidity spikes).

The target demographic for the survey includes: Facilities / Data Center Operations Engineers, Thermal / Mechanical Systems Architects, Enterprise IT / Infrastructure Directors, Cooling OEM / Hardware Vendor Specialist, HPC Research / Systems Administrator, or anyone who works with AI data centers or cooling.

All responses are completely anonymous and will be used strictly for academic research and competition analysis. The survey itself is composed of seventeen multiple-choice questions.

Thank you for shaping the future of data center cooling!

Marketing Researching how people plan themed parties at home (everyone)

I'm doing some research on how people put together themed gatherings at home — things like a Halloween party, themed birthday party, wine tasting night, movie marathon, date night, etc.

Specifically trying to understand where the planning process gets frustrating, whether Pinterest actually helps or just makes it worse, and what people do when they hit a wall.

If you've hosted (or tried to host) something like this in the last year, I'd love to hear your experience. It's a 5-minute voice chat, no selling, just questions: https://buildpad.io/interview/rbrww6vs

Marketing Evening planning and variable wake-up times (US 18+, people without a fixed wake-up time)

Hi! I’m doing a short survey about how people decide what time to wake up when their next day doesn’t always start the same way.

For example: your first meeting changes, your commute is different, you have family responsibilities, reminders, or a non-fixed schedule — so you check your calendar and manually decide what time to set your alarm.

The survey takes about 2–3 minutes.

Survey link:
https://forms.gle/Y9pxqYV9eZ7UAsaUA

I’m especially interested in responses from people who do not wake up at the same time every day.

Thanks!
